I just thought of this the other day. Have you had any experiences in real life that remind you of something in a video game? They don't have to be anything big- any little thing that trips the nostalgia trigger will do.

The other day I was doing a long-distance swim workout. The pool is pretty shallow, and the lights (indoors) were quite bright, so the water was a real light blue and the light reflected in it. It reminded me exactly of Chrono Cross, particularly the graphics on the title screen.

Anyone else have any moments out there in the real world that reminded them of a certain RPG or videogame in general?

Running gag between me and one of my friends:

"Hey, look, a [random noun]. You know, that reminds me of a puzzle!"

A thought I've mentioned elsewhere before: I think Muammar al-Gaddafi is playing Grand Theft Autocracy.

I used to get annoyed when I'd bring up something about cakes, and every time, without fail, someone would say, "The cake is a lie." Real cute. Really. That doesn't get old. Ever. haha

I once heard of a lightning whelk, and got all excited. I didn't know that was a real thing!

I can't think of much else right now, but this seems like something that happens more than I think it does.

You're telling me that there's no hope.

I'm telling you you're wrong.

This isn't quite what you're on about but I used to go and make tea in the kitchen I shared with two other students. One of them stood in my way now and then and said something like

'GOOD NEWS FROM KVATCH FOR A CHANGE. THE LAST OF THE DAEDRA HAVE BEEN DRIVEN OUT.'

yeah, we did stuff like that alot..

I kicked a turtle once, and it bounced off a brick wall and beaned me in the face.
