I'm going through the game fighting every type of enemy so that I will eventually have a complete rage list. I'm at the Railway in Vector and supposedly there are two Mag Roaders in there. I've gone through several times, but the only kind I find are the purple ones, havn't yet seen a red one. Yes I am playing on the ROM. Is this a glitch, or is there something I have to do for it to show up?

I, as you, attempted to fight every monster so I could gain all the Rage commands. I also had difficulty finding the red Mag Roaders for some reason, which had never happened before to me. Figuring it may help me for who knows what reason, I switched the position of my characters and went through it a bunch of times. Eventually I finally found a pair of red Mag Roaders, but damn that was annoying mad.gif (By the way, I've found it impossible to fully fill up the Rage list. On my CD (and cartridge of FFVI) three enemies never appear on my list after I leap on them. These are Allo Ver, Pugs, and Proto Armor)

At least now I have somethime to try and I won't feel like I'm wasting my time continuously going through the railway.

Thanks again for the quick reply.

btw, there is a ragelist at gamefaqs.com which shows that there are spots saved in the rage list for Seigfried, Chupon and Allo Ver, non of which appear on the Veldt. They can only be gotten by cheating. The last spot is blank, as Pugs is not rageable.

The leader of your team does decide which Mag Roaders you will face on the mine cart ride.

Really? i didn't know that the leader decided which ones.... i usually have Sabin as my leader, since his fire dance pretty much kills anything on the railway.

With Sabin as leader I encountered both kinds, but with Edgar or Locke, I only got the purple ones.

Can't you fight Siegfried in the Coliseum for him to appear on the Veldt? If anything I'd want his "Shockwave" attack (I think that's what it's called) as a Rage since that took some major damage off of me when i fought him in the Coliseum.

Siegfried won't appear on the Veldt that I know of. The only boss-level monsters that'll appear are White Drgn and Sr Behemoth.

I think.

Wasn't it called "Hyperdrive"?

Maybe...I dunno

I thought just Kefka used the "Hyperdrive" attack. Could be wrong though

HyperDrive is the attack Siegfried uses in the Collosseum (Kefka is the only one who will use it outside the Collosseum), but Siegfried's Rage is Flare. Gau has no HyperDrive Rages, but if you still want a Shock Wave-using Rage, those exist. smile.gif

Didalos (not Diablos, you're thinking FF8) is obtainable, you're thinking Allo Ver. You do have to cheat to get him to show up on the Veldt since the formation used in the treasure chest at the Cave in the Veldt doesn't count (515 instead of 126). The other two unavailable Rages besides Allo Ver and Siegfried are Pugs and Chupon. While Chupon has W Wind, Pugs has Knife, which if you could get it has twice the power of CatScratch (IOW, an 8X damage multiplier, strongest used in the game). Since FF signifies a null value in the list though, it's not possible to obtain. Chupon you can't get since he's Collosseum-only like Siegfried.

No, actually, you didn't unless you cheated. Sorry.
