I just found out Monday my mom has been tested positive for breast cancer. But I've been told by people around me that it's normally curable. So hopefully she will get better.

If you caught it early, I'm sure she'll be a-ok. My mom got it a couple years back, and had it taken care of with ease.

So hopefully she will get better. Some of my friends' mothers had breast cancer, and I know how how much of a toll it can take on a family, in more ways than one. My prayers are with you and your family, SD. -------------------- |

Well it looks like all my worrying was for nothing.
1st Y'all are right my mom will be OK. The doctor told her it will be easy to remove. 2nd I know I'll get some criticism from this as I have on other forums but... As y'all know I've had feelings of being a lesbian woman. Well of course also I'm a Christian and at my church of which never accepted me and never will accept me as a woman I've met a beautiful woman. I don't know if what I was doing was truly as wrong as I have been told by my church. If so maybe this woman is divine intervention from God.If not my heart has fallen in the grips of someone special. But one thing is certain she is special to me and a gift from Jesus himself. I just hope she thinks or will think the same thing about me. I do believe she likes me though. So all I know is that if it's meant to be it's worth it and someday if we get married we will dance at our wedding to Melodies of Life. Literally I'm not kidding. -------------------- I treasure those who I love that love me in return. <3 |

Quote (seraphimdreamer777 @ 17th February 2011 06:16) I know I'll get some criticism from this as I have on other forums Hm? Criticism? Hold on, let me check...nope, sorry, I'm all out. Seriously, though, we CoN folk are an accepting bunch, and I myself am completely nonjudgmental when it comes to a individual's identity. You'll certainly receive no criticism from me. I understand how this conflict of yours can be difficult - it's not easy for some people to find a balance between their lifestyles and religions and whatnot. I can relate somewhat - I am VERY pro-LGBT rights, and am ipso-facto bisexual, since I don't believe in clearly defined sexuality (even though I greatly prefer dating women). I am also a lifelong member and employee of the Boy Scouts of America, a private organization that bans gay members. Granted, this is a bullshit policy, practically nobody agrees with it, and it needs to be changed, but the national council does have more pressing issues to worry about. I can't, however, relate to your situation completely. I know it was stated before, but it might not be a bad idea to look for a new church, or, if necessary, a new religion. My father was raised as a Catholic, but he has always been the type to question authority, and he doesn't agree at all with most of the actions and absolute authority of the Church. However, he only recently discovered Quakerism and he says that he feels at spiritual peace for the first time in his life. The only other piece of advice I really have is to do what makes you happy. This woman sounds like she's really special, and if you truly love her, you should absolutely try to be with her. If you ever just need to talk or anything, seraphimdreamer, by all means, feel free to PM me. -------------------- |
