I hate to say it, but I'm sitting on Dragon Age: Origins right now with no immediate plans to ever finish it. It was a lot of fun, but...I guess other things got in the way.

Quote (Ruin's Fate @ 5th July 2009 21:50) Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga for the GBA. I don't know why I stopped playing it either really, I was having quite a bit of fun with it. Agreed, 100%. Also StarCraft. |

Quote (Blades of Steel @ 7th September 2009 18:39) Man, I could NEVER finish Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles.. the battlesystem is ridiculous. Oh man, same here. I was using the strange magic/metal/bird race and magic just didn't seem to be effective when playing alone. Sadly I don't have a friend with a GBA and link cable who would have any interest in playing the whole game with me, let alone three of them! Quote (BlitzSage @ 9th July 2009 16:53) I couldn't make it through Bioshock. I'm not a survival horror fan, so I just couldn't put myself through it Sorry but Bioshock is in no way a survival horror, I mean sure it's jumpy at times but it just...isn't. One of my favourite FPS though, my god its good.. -------------------- www.youtube.com/blinje The victor sacrificed the vanquished to the heavens |

Final Fantasy VIII. I already put why in the "what games are you playing right now" thread. I...I just don't have it in me.

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, mostly because it's a borefest if you play it alone.
That whole "CONNECT GCN TO YOUR GBA FOR MULTIPLAYER" was the worst part of GCN. There are four controller inputs, what's wrong with using them? >_> Of course, this only applies for a handful of games. |

Kingdom Hearts 2. I gave it my best, but the Tron level just knocked me out every single time. I could probably pick it up again and play through it, but the simple fact that they totally screwed up the Cure spell in the second game makes me never want to play it again.
Also about 5 years ago I had never beaten a single Final Fantasy game, but had made it just short of the final boss every time. Most of the time it was just wanting to make sure I had found everything there is to find. Starting 5 years ago, I started finishing them one at a time so I could actually be done. Don't think I'll ever make it past Tactics though. And on the note of wanting to look for everything before beating the game, I can not beat the main story of Morrowind or Oblivion, though I have completed many of the quests, leveled ridiculously, and become Grand Masters for almost every single guild. -------------------- That was my sin. And this... this... is my punishment. |

A game I really liked that I couldn't finish was Swat 4. I loved it to bits, it was like a mix of the Hitman games, a generic FPS and a strategy game, and somehow mixed together well. I can't remember which level I was stuck on, I think it was one where there was an armed robbery and tear gas lost it's effectiveness because the robbers had traded gas masks for hostages. I still think I'd got the best out of the game though. I enjoyed just going through ordinary settings like a restaurant or a house and getting a 100% score. Once it started on the hospitals and banks with about 30 guys with guns to take down it lost a bit of the realistic draw. I found it more satisfying to get two teams spilling out in sync to take down one guy armed with a pistol -- ambushing him to get him to drop his gun and be taken alive -- rather than two teams attacking a battalion of heavily armed robbers in a 2 minute firefight. It's one of those games where killing everything isn't rewarded.
So, yeah, I loved Swat 4 and I wish I'd played it to the end. This post has been edited by sweetdude on 21st March 2011 08:18 -------------------- Scepticism, that dry rot of the intellect, had not left one entire idea in his mind. Me on the Starcraft. |

I couldn't finish Last Remnant either. I tried. It's... Just horrible. Never finished Morrowind. I don't know why honestly. Oh, and Valkyrie Profile 2. Got trapped in an area while being severely under-leveled, and never had the patience to play through everything all over again.

Ys 1.
I had bought Ys 1&2 Chronicles for PSP, since I likes Ys Seven, but the bat boss pretty much ruined the game for me. -------------------- |

What was crazy is that I put like almost 40hrs trying to be a completetist and it suddenly occurred to me that the game wasn't worth all the time I had spent on it. Got really close to finishing it but just couldn't make that final push. -------------------- kame, tortue, tortuga, schildkröte, tartaruga, turtle "Arthur Dent?" "Yes." "Arthur Philip Dent?" "Yes." Games i used cheats for at first to beat and then beat them naturally:
Contra 1:This game can get really hard, and later on it becomes even more ridiculous. Tmnt:This game starts out with a decent difficulty level, but the end of level 3 and beginning of level 4,mark a hell level that will drive you nuts. Castlevania 1:This game is insane in difficulty. It isn't that the levels are long and takes forever, its that its so hard, that you die constantly and have to master the level and everything. Ninja gaiden 1:This game is just as evil,if not worse than castlevania 1 at the end. Those stupid things that look like flea men,and those evil eagles that spawn and gang up on you. Games that i beat fairly, but took forever: Zelda 2 adventure of link. This game took me 20 years to beat. Its hard, but it is the end of the game that is hard. The path to the grand temple is a volcanic path full of those eyeball monsters that push you into a pit.Once you finally figure out how to overcome those levels, and get to the temple,it is literally a maze of death full of enemies who do massive damage and sometimes hard to dodge. The worse, are those blue eagle knights who jump around and deal massive damage.i don't remember if there was a clue to how to beat the thunderbird, but if not, then its one of those endings that is tricky due to having to figure out how to make it vulnerable. Ultima 3:This game is pure evil. This is one of those games that you think: Oh! its an rpg,i can gain exp,and then level up.You can't level up by gaining enough xp,you have to go to the king, and if you level up,you don't become more powerfull.Another thing too,is that enemies become more powerfull but you don't.I sure hope you didn't do something terribly stupid, like level up and not be prepared with good equipment and the right items, because if you are new, this game is going to kick your butt royally. Final fantasy legends 2 and 3: I could have beaten them, but i put them down and lost interest in them. The second one i liked a little less than the first, but i found the difficulty welcoming. The third game i found too easy, and this put me off a lot. By the time you reach the end,you can kill everything without even dying in hte third game,or simply run away before they can catch you. Also:The final boss is ridiculously easy. All he does is:cast darkforce or whatever its called, and flare. So its:Heal heal rez heal heal rez 1 char heal heal. There is no risk of losing the fight, and he never changes his patterns.I doubt that i will ever play ff legends 3 again. Resident evil 1 code veronica x: It took me years before i could muster up the courage to finish these games. Resident evil code veronica x terrified me,but it was also really hard.I first beat resident evil 4 then i went back to resident evil 1 and finished it,and then i said:thats not too bad so i finished resident evil code veronica x. Silent hill 1: After i beat resident evil 1,i took the copy of the game borrowed to me by my sister, and i put it on and beat it.I enjoyed it and enjoyed survival horrors. Maybe i always liked survival horror a little,or maybe i became more of a fan. I don't usually play survival horrors, but i finally did and beat em. Games i haven't beaten yet: Ultima underworld: I am working on this game, but i kinda lost interest for now.I will get back to it. ITs a great game. Ultima 7:same reasons as ultima underworld. Parasite eve 2:This game kicked my butt so bad, that i remember it. Eve has this attack that makes my mp go up,and then explodes and paralizes me.She kept beating me up and i lost interest and left.I will come back sometime as i like this game. Wild arms: I'l get to the game again some day. Oblivion:I have a lot of negative feelings and positive feelings about this game. This game is one of those games that can really annoy me,but i also enjoy. What annoys me about this game, are the bugs and the repetitive dungeons.I did most of the class quests and dungeon quests. Games i haven't beat out of desire Final fantasy 8: This game bores me so much,i literally would rather go play with my cat. The card queen and the story bore me enough to put me to sleep. Metroid prime 3 corruption: I don't like the controlls, and the controlls put me off. I don't like the phazon attack thing, because it feels like the game is forcing me to use an overpowered attack.I also don't like losing life from it. Zelda twilight princess:I lost interest. Right off the bat, they give you a horse. It feels like its nothing special anymore to get a horse. Back in ocarina of time,it meant something to have acquired epona through a test, even if it was easy. Here it is just some free prize that means nothing. I also think there might actually be more places in ocarina of time to explore. Suikoden 4:This game was the first game that i literally got every character, and lost interest due to it being too easy and linear. I used to love suikoden series, and this game really put me off.I think suikoden 12 and 5 are much better games.
