Due to activities in the Anime Thread, I recently downloaded all .Hack//SIGN, .Hack//Liminality and .Hack//DUSK.
It's great, of course, but I was just wondering some little things. I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) that the order I put them above is the chronological order. If it's true, can anyone tell me when do the various games take places? Who are the heroes of it? I've seen pictures of it,
Please be careful about what you do when entering this topic. I'm assuming that anyone who posts here knows loads about the .Hack universe. The spoiler section I put above concerns people who don't know a damn thing about the games and .Hack//DUSK. It's likely that this topic will be filled with minor and major spoilers. You've been warned. |

ill answer some of your questions,
.hack//sign comes before the games. .hack//liminality is a 45 minite anime move thats soppose to explain the world of .hack to you.(hey thats what it said on the back of the game box, i havent actually seen it yet  ).hack//dusk is an anime series the takes place a few years after the last game, its soppose to show you what happens then. -------------------- Why do kamakazi pilots wear helmets? |

There is no Player killing in the game so apparently .hack//sign is before the games. Next to that, Liminality is an anime with a seperate but similar storyline in the real world. A girl named Mai Minase searches for the reason her friend went under a coma only to find that the world affects more than it's online gaming.

It goes .hack///sign and then .hack///infection is next in the game as part two i've seen proof of up to 3 games.

Yes, but does Liminality's storyline go simultainiously to the game, or is it before or after the games themselves?

i just saw it 2 days ago.. (im still as confused as ever about the
world of .hack  )anyways I think .hack//liminality is after infection and b4 mutation. reasons being..

Well doesn't it make on of those things on the side of those boxes like DBZ videos?
cuz you'd find out then butythe games show a ittle number and i think that should be more shows than games don't you? .hack goes like this...
.hack//SIGN is right before what happens in liminality and the .hack games. Possible spoilers: highlight to view in SIGN, that is not Kite and BlackRose; it's two different characters, Tsukasa and Mimaru LIMINALITY takes place during the .hack games.. Possible spoilers: highlight to view As you play the first game, you get news that says that two more people went uncounsious(sp) from the game. One awoke (Mai) while the other remained in a coma (her boyfriend) DUSK (also known as UDEDEN) takes place after SIGN and the games Possible spoilers: highlight to view This is because Kite and BlackRose were banned from the World, and twins won limited edition character modifications(the characters being Kite and BlackRose) in a contest...so they play as them There's also //ENEMY, a trading card game that's coming out soon. [SIZE=1]I heard that in .hack//outbreak you can no longer have Elk on your party!!!! Is that true?
Possible spoilers: highlight to view Does anyone know if Elk ever comes back?? He's my best wavemaster! >< I don't like having an old guy for a Wavemaster!!!! Someone please tell me if they know!! I must obtain this information!!! Mistral left...and that only leaves Wiseman if Elk leaves |

We'll find out soon once part 4 comes out. In the meantime, i do know that
Possible spoilers: highlight to view both Mia and Elk are away in OUTBREAK. Mia was having problems with the text and Elk is always with her... I beat the game! And Elk still doesn't come back!!!! I guess I'll have to wait for .hack//outbreak, huh?....I miss Elk....He was the best person on my team (besides me! ^^ ) Even his pshyical attack was pretty good, and his magic was above awsome!!!!!! I miss him!!! ::sniff::

To be honest, I never used Elk that much, I really only gave him gifts to bring up the affection levels ^^

 My Team was usually Kite,Elk, and (random Person) Usually the random person is Gardenia, BlackRose,MoonStone,Mia, or Natsume. Possible spoilers: highlight to view I like Elk very much as you can see! Now I also put Balmung instead of Elk since Elk is not here in .hack//outbreak |

Terajima Ryoko and Balmung for me, I used Mia a lot, but it's my opinion that Mis is in a coma. I noticed that before someone new joined up, someone left. Therefore I think the game tries to have only a certain number of team mates at a time.

My Team was usually Kite, BR, and and Piros.
Elk, Elk is still usable in part 3, but like some of the others, he's not accesable from time to time. Good thought on Mia, AD. Here's my take on Mia: Possible spoilers: highlight to view She knows more than the average person about the bracelet, and always seems to be at her worst when the servers on the fritz.
