Sonic 4 episode 1 is coming soon and I am really excited. I dont think I have been this exited for a sonic game since sonic adventure 2 O.O. What I ask you people of today are your opinions on how the game will turn out. Im optimistic. You decide what you think the outcome will be. Will this be Sonics revival, or the final nail in the coffin for this declining series? Vote now.

I hope this will be. Them returning to the basics, that ought to bring back the classic style. So yes, partially, I believe it will.

It's too early to say, I think.
The concept of doing another 2D Sonic game is a good one, but I've yet to be convinced on the execution. It's made primarily by the same people who produced the Sonic Advance and Rush games, and has been characterised by some who've played it as most similar to Sonic Advance 2, which is not regarded as one of the best from that selection. But if you enjoyed those games it's likely to appeal. Die-hard fans of the classic games have been critical of the game's physics in comparison to the original games. It seems easy to dismiss that as nit-picking, but in a speed-based game its effects can be profound. I'm not really sold on the idea of reusing old badniks either. Reusing zone concepts is fair enough - all the original games did - but the enemies tended to have some variety between games, visually if nowhere else. Making the homing attack a staple is also likely to change the gameplay dramatically, as is the rampant use of speed boosters. In short: good idea, but I have serious reservations. I think if there's one thing that's become apparent in the last fifteen years, it's that it's best not to get one's hopes up too much for a new Sonic game. If it does turn out to be great, so much the better! And I still hope that it will, especially given the time that's supposedly being taken to retool it. |

I'm not really looking forward to it, I used to love it, and how they had something new in each game. Then it went 3D and was okay, heck, sonic didn't need a decent storyline anyway, soundtracks were nice though, then Sonic Heroes.... Needless to say I lost interest and the advance games and Sonic Rush and all this stuff. I don't like them either. Rush! Do tricks! Wooooooooo!!!!!!! No. Go through level, couple power ups, rings to collect and a fun and gradually difficult minigame for the emeralds (Not some really stupid minigame/overly hard from the very beggining)
If they could go back to the very very beggining, develop it but NOT in a fancy look-at-me-woooo-tricks-extra-pointless-stuff-and-a-pear-tree I'd probably love it. That's saying basically make a direct sequel to Sonic and Knuckles or something using the same themes, woodland-ish level to start etc. it's all good. But I know I'm not a hardcore fan like most. Never was. Not even when I liked the games so my opinion doesn't really matter to the developers or whatever. But I do honestly think they shouldn't go for the WHAM WHAM WHAM WHAM! New stuffffffffs!! WHAM WHAM! WHAMMMM!! And just stick to the minor improvements and stuffs -------------------- "Pushed so far to the edge, we teeter just on the brink!
