New here... not really sure if I'm even allowed to post this, I've been on like one forum in my life. I just wanted to know if anyone could explain why this happened or if they've ran into it as well.
I was just playing FF6 on the SNES, and the world was being blown up like usual before the WoR. During the cutscene, there is a part where 2 ultima looking blasts go off near South Figaro. It always does. But in my current playthrough, the blasts went off on the Triangle Island. I'm really confused as to why. I'm not sure if it was because I had certain characters in my party or what... but on the Floating Continent I had Mog, Locke, Terra, and Gau. This makes me wonder if this is some "secret cutscene" although I'm not sure. |

It's been years since I played through that part myself, but I don't recall ever having seen that. You're saying that they went off over Triangle Island instead of South Figaro or after those? I checked about a half dozen videos from SNES, PSX, and GBA on YouTube, too, and never saw it there either.
I guess to answer your question, I dunno and I'm not sure anyone will show up who really knows. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

Clarify your party setup. One of your characters should be Celes if there's four characters in it, or Shadow if you're talking pre-Atma/Ultima Weapon. Also, FF6 on SNES? We talking 3us here or the actual FF6j? If it's the latter, the method you're using to play it could help too (tabs cut out? Game Genie involvement? Some other device?) -------------------- |

Quote (Valientlink @ 6th July 2010 18:54) on the Floating Continent I had Mog, Locke, Terra, and Gau. This can't be right. On the Floating Continent you can only have three party members on your team and the fourth ends up being Shadow and he's a default character, you can't take Shadow out of your party during the Floating Continent dungeon. Then Celes takes over the place of Shadow before facing Atma Weapon. That can't be right. Huh ? Unless you are playing the GBA version and they changed the Floating Continent completely. I've never played the GBA version of FFVI. -------------------- Currently playing Chrono Trigger !! Currently looking forward to Don't Know. |

You don't have to have Shadow do you? I thought you could choose to go in with four and he'd only join if you had an open slot.

Whoops, no, Locke wasn't on there. My mistake. This was FF3 on the SNES, no cheats were used...
