After playing a few games that feature new game plus in it (Tales of Symphonia and Chrono Trigger for instance), it makes me feel that adding a new game plus that lets you keep all your stuff, money, etc. and with options of higher difficulty (such as ToS's Mania mode where enemies HP doubles in the game)
Good Idea I think. |

Well, a few FF games (mostly spin-offs) do have new game plus, like Crisis Core and X-2. I agree that it is a fun feature and I wouldn't mind seeing it in future games.
-------------------- FF games completed: I (psp), II (psp), III (DS), IV (psp), V (GBA), VI (GBA), VII, VIII, IX, X, XI: Nations-Rhapsodies of Vana'diel, XII, XIII, XIV, XV. Spin-offs: FFIV: Interlude & The After Years, Crisis Core: FFVII, X-2, XIII-2, Lightning Returns, Type-0 HD, Dissidia, Dissidia 012, and Tactics (original & WotL). Enjoyed them all. |

I don't see any problem at all. Adds more to the gameplay, doesn't take from the story, and it has worked well with other games. I can think of numerous games that would be really fun with that feature. I've always been for games having more options and features, so why not?

I said yes, but I hardly ever actually use the New Game + Function. I generally don't have the time to clock in a second playthrough, especially when there are still plenty of RPG's I missed that I'd like to play.
Actually, I've only used New Game + on one game: Vagrant Story. But I'm pretty sure I beat it through that way three times... -------------------- Currently Playing : Final Fantasy V Most Recently Beat : Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Favorite Game : Final Fantasy X The newest CoNcast is up! I'm salivating at just the thought of a new-game+ feature for FFT. |

As long as the NGP bonuses aren't meagre or altogether crappy, I'm all for it. Developers should take a page out of Chrono Cross' book and put in a fast-forward feature.

I wouldn't have thought it necessary til I played FF13. Really enjoyed it, but there's no way I'll ever play through it again. A NG+ feature would probably be easy to program and would boost the game's score immensely.

Yes a new game plus should be added to main stream final fantasy games. They did it with ff1 but soon after they abandoned the new game plus fashion except in spin offs. In my opinion it greatly enhances the gameplay experience and is a great reward for completing the game

I would love to be able to replay an FF having kept all levels and magic and such.
Must say I am totally for all of that really. |
