I feel I definitely worked hard enough to deserve it. In fact, I think I only won this award because I wanted it more than anyone else, so I worked harder for it.

You may all begin congratulating me now.

It's worth it if you actually were to come back and stay - you could be one of the five hundred people or so that got that same award. However, if you just wanted to be snarky and then never come back... hey, I guess that's okay too. smile.gif

He gets an award, and I get nothing? LOL, just kidding.

I have to stick around for two more years, and start doing fantasy games.

I got the same award and it made me realize how long have I been a member (and how long had I abandoned my account)

I'm actually surprised I didn't get one of those awards, I know I've been here for a while haha. I will sooner or later!

I do like this system, though.

I wonder how many of us have stayed constant forum members since their signing up?

Getting the awards email was interesting.
Been a while since I've been here. Been a while since I played any FF game too.

Well, said abandoned account came back into use now. I'm in a similar position.

I still haven't gone back to the Moogle Cafe in years. That was my actual first forum, though at least back then I didn't fit in too well. Not that they disliked me, but just that the board was a bit too chaotic (and often covered topics that I found too dark-and-edgy) for my tastes. Also, they switched to some new forum system and I never quite figured out how to use it. But the people were cool.

And yes, CS510, same here.

I'm fairly certain there was an agenda regarding this particular awards thingy and it appears to be working. thumbup.gif

Seems to be working indeed happy.gif

Looking back, I wish I'd done this sooner though.

I remember the fun times developing the FF7 section with everyone else at the time, being on my boss' office, on the only computer with online access on the pharmaceutical plant I used to work. He was literally sitting in front of me, while I was compiling and editing data, and chatting up as well...

Fun times.

I'd start by not making several posts against the forum rules in your first half hour of being a member. Then we can talk about a magical award just for you.

Don't worry, it's coming. Keep in mind that we sent it via the North Pole's parcel post system to save on cash though. You see this site is on the nice list, so via this system we get free worldwide shipping! You should get it in, oh, let's say five business days in 2015 if you're good. If not you might get a lump of coal in your stocking instead, so be careful.

... Sorry, couldn't resist ... even if it is April.

I never considered that old forum members might look back to the site because of a shiny award though. To tell the truth, I kinda thought it was more of a consolation prize myself. Something like "Oh say, despite not contributing/winning anything you're a part of the community too. Sorta like how this nail stickin' out of the wall is a part of my house. So here, have a cookie."

Interesting little turn of events though. I wonder how people found out they had awards to return because of them? Was there an email notification perhaps? I haven't checked my Yahoo mail in ages. I should probably get on that, in fact....

Edit
I forgot to mention I checked back in on the site just slightly before the awards were introduced, as I tend to just infrequently come and go. It was quite interesting to watch Josh showing off his work to Gabe in chat. Quite a curious phenomena that was.

Heh heh, I got the old 'abandoned account award' too...and now you guys can't be rid of me, so I guess it works out. Actually when I got the email, it took me a few moments to even remember what it was, I seem to recall having logged on to make some goofy post about Ultros years and years ago.

I would imagine that Neal does, EE, especially given his win in CoNCAA this year. Haven't checked.

Yeah, 12, mainly from sports participation/knowledge/luck.

I didn't even get one for doing essentially the entire FFV section. sad.gif
