Since a big part of gaming now is one's avatar or other personalized accouterments, I thought folks might like to have a go at showing how awesome they are. Could be your XBL avatar, your guy on Playstation Home, your character in Rock Band, your Mii, whatever.

 I wanted to add a Big Daddy helmet to my avatar at one point, but let's face it; skinny jeans and a helmet that size just don't work. I finally got the Beta of Game Face working for FIFA 10, so I mapped my face to a studly Liverpool midfielder. It's not exactly right, but pretty good, I think.

They really need an on-form studly midfielder this season. That game face thing is really cool. What were your problems with getting it working?
I can't link my Xbox avatar but I've made Chopper Reid, mainly because the handlebar moustache is almost perfect. Shame about the lack of a missing teeth option. -------------------- Scepticism, that dry rot of the intellect, had not left one entire idea in his mind. Me on the Starcraft. |

We need everything this season. Aquilani will eventually be a decent midfielder for us, but he needs more time. I would really like to see the January window bring us a striker to move us to a 4-4-2 and give Torres some support up top so that opposing defenses don't completely collapse on him every match. Anyway, it's mainly server problems. EA has had a lot of problems communicating between the webserver (which handles the photo uploading and configuration) and the connections to the games on the consoles. Also, the face that you create on the web doesn't look exactly like what you get in the game, which ends up causing a lot of need for tweaking. When I realized that nobody was posting PS3 ones, I discovered that for the time being, the only people who can screenshot Playstation Home activity are the moderators. I guess you PS3 and Wii users just need to take photos.
 I will at the very least try to get a photo of my friends' Wii, where I have a Mii and where they made a Mii for their cat. Tis me, as near as I could it with a bit of cartoonifying and a sweet hat my cousin gave me the points for. It almost matches the actual hat I have like that inherited from my grandfather.
 *EDIT* I'm now in summer clean-shaven mode. I also have a swanky Hoth Han Solo outfit that I just couldn't pass up! I was about to bump this thread with my current avatar, but then I realized that I was using my live avatar image in the first post of the thread.
I waited a whole month in the hopes that MS would add the US kits from the World Cup, because then my avatar would actually be able to wear a jersey that I own myself. Since they never did, I today bought the Spain away jersey that I will be buying if Spain wins tomorrow (since I should win quite a bit of money in that case). I did the Xbox Live Labs thing overnight for my avatar, then I realized that since my wife actually works in a lab a lot of the time, the little prizes they give for doing it work better for her.
So, first post in this thread has me back in my alma mater's gear, hoping for good luck in CoNCAA. My wife's avatar, again back in the first post, has her rocking a new lab coat. I was playing around with the new iOS app for XBL last night, and it showed me that there was a bit of new avatar content that I had no idea existed but I totally needed. So here it is, since apparently it doesn't want to update my image in the first post of the thread automatically.
 It's awesome since I have the jersey here in the meatspace too.
