I can't remember exactly why, but a question arose today about FFVII that I can't answer. During the parade in Junon, the one where Cloud is dressed as a Shinra soldier, what do the commentators actually say if you score a one of the higher percentage targets? I've searched for a while (lies, you searched for two minutes) and I couldn't find anything. To be fair to myself I did look through a complete script and he noted that the scene could be different rather than actually writing what the commentators said.* I want to make this into a post for everyone's reading, because I thought the 'send that soldier a bomb' quote is one of the funniest bits of FFVII so surely the others will be good too, and it's good to share.
According to CoN, you get a grenade if you get a worse rating than 21%, six Potions for 22% to 39%, six Ethers for 40% to 50%, and 5000 gil for 51% and above. See it here. Six Ethers for 40% to 50%! That's amazing! I would aim for that rather than the 5000 gil. Anyway it's what they actually say that I want, but this was interesting nonetheless. *Have a look yourself if you like. -------------------- Scepticism, that dry rot of the intellect, had not left one entire idea in his mind. Hey thanks ILM that's exactly what I wanted. To be honest, I didn't find either of the new ones funny, but I'm glad I've seen them now.

I remember replaying that marching bit loads to get the ethers. I never quite figured out how to be a good at it, think I got it through dumb luck and frustration at the end.

I thought it was very hard too, until I learnt the trick.
Due to either forgetting or laziness, the programmers forgot to put a timed button press code on the marching bit, where you swing your gun. In non-technogarble, that means you can press (O) as many times as you like once you get in place, and it'll count as a successfully timed gun swing! After a few tries, I managed to get 104%. O.o |
