Huhu,

Half of the time I spend today in FF V I wondered how I can get levelckr in the barrier tower (the story part with Zeza...) to use Lv. 3 Flare and Lv. 2 Old at me. The whole time they are just using Lv. 4 gravity. (They don't use lv. 5 doom since I have atm no character at that level)

atm my character levels are
2 x 33
2 x 32

My guess is that they might start using it if they can't use any other Lv. spell, means, that they use Lv. 3 Flare if all my chars are level 33 (the only "level" spell which hits them then) and Lv. 2 old at level 34.

I checked them with control, they only have Lv2 Old + Lv 5 Doom there, but recall that I cant use enemy lv spells at my people if the enemy is muddled or controlled. Any ideas?

According to their AI, they should just randomly choose between three of the Lv.? attacks every other turn and use it. I don't think there is any way to manipulate it. However, that is for the SNES version. When I was recently playing through Barrier Tower on FF5A, I noticed that they did not want to use Lvl2 Old or Lvl3 Flare at all on me, and I also had characters that were susceptible to those attacks. Perhaps they can't use those spells in that version, although that'd be a very silly thing to change.

It is the SNES version. I guess I will try with leveling up to see what will happen then.

Sry for DP - It seems that this hasn't changed anything. All my characters are level 33 now but Levelchekr is still using lv 4 gravity 2 even htough it doesn't hit a single character...

Now that you mention it, I do think I had this problem in the past with them. I don't really understand why they refuse to use the other spells, though. Doesn't really make any sense.

They don't use it. Or at least I haven't seen them use it. I learn Lv2 Old from the Flying Dragons at Ex-Death's castle and Lv3 Flare from the Red Dragon at Ex-Death's castle as well. (You gotta use reflect on it first and Control it, though)
