History of FInal Fantasy
It's a whole big written series thing that details the history of the series. I've only read the first couple so far, but it's fairly interesting, especially on a rainy day. -------------------- Currently Playing : Final Fantasy V Most Recently Beat : Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Favorite Game : Final Fantasy X The newest CoNcast is up! Have a listen! |

Thanks for posting. I've seen things such as this, but none that extensive. That's going to be fun to read.

Ha! I've seen one better! a 13 part final fantasy retrospective by gametrailers.com but because I'm a fan of reading I find this a little better.
Also this seems more of a history of Square from the beginning of the FF era rather than a FF history This post has been edited by R8.50 Mango on 8th July 2009 21:13 -------------------- Since I advertise CoN there I think it's only fair that I advertise The Wiki here. |

I actually got it from a friend on a disk (Not entirely sure how he got it either but he seems to have lots of old nintendo and diablo adverts) So I dunno how to get it but try youtube If you don't mind killing your bandwidth cap -------------------- Since I advertise CoN there I think it's only fair that I advertise The Wiki here. |

I think. Anyways, here are some other lists. World of Final Fantasy: History of Final Fantasy Gamespot History of Final Fantasy Mega Games Complete History of Final Fantasy I've only read the Gamespot one so far, so I can't tell you they're good or not. We chatted up the FF retrospective on GameTrailers about two years ago: bam. It's fun.
And bonus: GT has done nine such retrospectives thus far. This post has been edited by laszlow on 9th July 2009 05:04 -------------------- |

Wow, thanks for posting that man. Those are the best video collections I've ever seen. Btw, the World of Final Fantasy: History of Final Fantasy article is pretty good. I don't think it's as good as the IGN one though. IGN's is a little more professional. This post has been edited by BlitzSage on 9th July 2009 08:13 -------------------- |

I remember seeing at least two when I read it when this thread was first posted, and I think there were more in the comments. It's like the Youtube comments, ugh, just not worth reading. But I really have liked what I have read so far on the Mobygames lists. But I really think laszlow really posted the trump card. Those aren't just some measly 3 minute amateur videos, they are long and professionally made. The last video of the 13-part Final Fantasy collection is 23 minutes long! -------------------- |

I never really got into FF until I saw the retrospectives. A#1 they were
Also this IGN one looks a bit iffy (The original one posted here) cause didn't Sakaguchi leave Square for Mistwalker by his own decision? That's what I thought... Regardless, I definitely prefer the Gametrailers version to this one. After reading the whole thing through it was definitely less impressive than I had hoped. -------------------- Currently Playing : Final Fantasy V Most Recently Beat : Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Favorite Game : Final Fantasy X The newest CoNcast is up!
