It's simple.. cast Reflect on anyone of your characters, then use your favorite spell on them, and it'll Reflect of him/her at the enemy.
Or you can use a Thunder/Flame/Ice Shield/Sword on the enemy if you have any in your items. Many attack Summons can also go through Reflects. .. Does that help? |

You could equip wall ring(or was it reflect ring?) on your characters, and cast the spells on yourself. That was how I got through it. I'm sure there is probably a better way though, and I am positive someone here will know.

You could use a Moogle Charm, unless you want to play without all the super stuff. Voila! No enemy attacks at all! You'll find it if you go to the Narshe mines where Mog was, and press "A"-button where he stood.

Yeah, if you want to buy the thing, but for free you can find it in chests in Narshe and the Imperial Base. I also remember being able to steal wall rings from someone but I can't remember who...

Everyone can attack with their weapons if they are Beserked and Gogo can use Fight if you give him the command.
Edit I have recently been informed by Zed that Gogo's Fight command will not work This post has been edited by Dark Paladin on 23rd September 2003 08:22 -------------------- "I had to write four novels before they let me write comic books." -Brad Meltzer |

Even with Umaro berserked, that's a physical attack against enemies that are strong toward magic, and, best of all, it doesn't consume MP. So what if you can't pick which enemy he targets? He'll hurt something each round, that's for sure. I think I generally keep Umaro in the party when I go through that part of the game for simply that reason. As for getting Umaro, you Possible spoilers: highlight to view head to the caverns in Narshe in the WoR with Mog in your party. Explore them, and you eventually run into (and fight) Umaro. -------------------- Veni, vidi, dormivi. |

This thread has prompted me to put up a gentle reminder that we do have a huge website just outside the door to the forums, and most of the questions posed here would have been answered much more quickly had the askers just done a bit of research.

The quest for umaro is going to be time consuming, especially because he said he can't do that now (or may be unaware fo the specifics of tha5 quest). On the other ha?d, a single tower fight or two will teach him osmose. Tyen it's merely a matter of osmose on non-reflecting enemiesdfor unlimited MP. Besides, the 5 Magic Points he will learn for every fight will not be of any benefit to Umaro, thereby limiting his growth at this stage of the game. -------------------- "Not me... I like to use Relm, Gau, Umaro, and Terra for the tower.
while the controlable characters can cast magic, Umaro goes for the beatings without magic. I often cast berserk on Umaro to make his attack power go way up. since Berserk will just make Berserkers more powerful then before. Relm had great magic attack rate. and so do Terra and Gau. |

Gau, too, becomes a very powerful fighter if you cast Berserk on him after he rages. He'll still perform the special attacks associated with his rage, and (IIRC), if they are physical, they'll get the berserk bonus as well. It does nothing but help Gau, provided you berserk him after he rages.

Ummm... I don't think Gau can rage in the Fanatic's Tower. I only remember him able to do magic like everybody else.
