I found ff5 very enjoyable.
Galuf and bartz bad characters? and faris? are you insane? Possible spoilers: highlight to view They are the 3 funniest of the group, especially the one where galuf and batz are spying on faris at the beginning. I think lenna and krile were the characters i least enjoyed. As for the story? hmm well the story is simple yes, nowhere near as good as ff4's storyline sure but it works. Gameplay:Now this is the strongpoint of the game, sort of like bahamut lagoon's customization of dragons. There is a seemingly a whole lot of abilities to customize your character with, but you need a whole lot of patience, yes it takes time but its more interesting than the materia sistem wich i got bored with and noticed how long it took. -------------------- We are stardust. Our bodies are made from the guts of exploding stars. I Just sorta lost interest. and if I can lose interest in an FF then there must be something wrong!
Job System was brilliant though and the pink hair was really weird This post has been edited by R8.50 Mango on 25th June 2009 17:31 -------------------- Since I advertise CoN there I think it's only fair that I advertise The Wiki here. |

Personally, I'd put it in my favourite three. 9 takes first place without a shadow of a doubt, as it's my favourite game of all time. The other slot? Maybe either 4 or X-2 (Bet you didn't see that coming

I hate the job classes, you can't just play with one character, you have to level up the jobs for any decent attacks, or anything really. This also made FFX-2 a let down.

I really enjoined the job classes system, although I have the feeling that some classes are really underpowered.
It is nice to use some combos, combine the classes etc. pp. - I might replay the whole thing again now (I just will be done through in a couple of hours ^^), some things suck through, for instance that some abilites are more or less useless (last time mage ability for instance :X - Equip rods? oO), but require a lots of ABP (equiprods - 300 iiirc), or other classes have quite stupid learnable abilities (Dragoon for instance is a nice class, but it doesn't really get good abilites in my eyes, so it is quite useless to master it in order to strengthen other classes) But however, I love it much more than FF VII, for the simple reason of fast success - In FF VII it TOOK YOU HOURS just to get a better materia, and in FF IV it is quite fair to get them. (Yep, I hate FF VII partialy for this reason) Some things sucked are running the whole time with a thief or blue mage (skills) cause of learning and hidden passage - I just didn't wanted to pass any item or monster-skill. ![]() This post has been edited by Bas on 23rd July 2009 17:23 |

Hmm...FFV is kinda okay...
It would have been better if there was more ACTION.... And more CHARACTERS..... More MEMORABLE SCENES??? |

I always thought the story to be a little lackluster but the classes keep me coming back
