when you rescue shadow in the veldt cave your party says (I can't remember word for word) that she looks pretty beat up and they'll take her to thamasa. Shadow also is baram in the dreams as baram explains her new name will be shadow, and you can see baram wears a bikini-like top throughout the sequence.
I bring this up because it seems like everyone refers to shadow as a guy. |

April Fools' Day is in April, chief.
The feminine pronoun in the Veldt Cave is an accident by the American translation team, as it is also possible for Relm to be the person saved from the cave. -------------------- |

Possible spoilers: highlight to view Shadow is Clyde, and Baram is his friend. Baram actually dies while they are robbing the train, and Clyde (Shadow) runs away and leaves him. He meets a woman in Thamasa and has Relm, who is his daughter. Clyde, or Shadow, is the first to appear in the dream sequence. So he is a guy, and I am pretty sure they never refer to him as a woman. Edit I didn't know about that error, so I can understand your confusion. But he is a guy. This post has been edited by BlitzSage on 16th June 2009 17:41 -------------------- |
