Not sure if this has been posted before, but I only heard about it recently. The short trailer looks awesome. I always thought that boxing was the best of the Wii Sports games, and that they could make a good version of Punch-Out like that. It should be a fun use of the Wii-motes and a cool update of a classic NES game. |

I would love to get my hands on that! I bet it wiould be ten times better than the first one made on wii sports.

Looks pretty cool. I wonder if they will have new characters along with all the old ones that were in the original.

It looks great. I certainly echo Suikojin when I say that I'm hoping for a few new characters to go along with the old.
It's too bad I'm absolutely terrible when it comes to Wii Boxing. |

I just want to fight Soda Popinski over and over and over.
I'm not at all a fan of the Wii, but this game appeals to the 6 year old in me and many childhood memories. -------------------- Okay, but there was a goat! |

SPOILERS!
The rumors say this is the final roster... Can it be trusted? Possible spoilers: highlight to view Circuit 1: - Glass Joe - Von Kaiser - Disco Kid - King Hippo Circuit 2: - Piston Hondo - Bear Hugger - Great Tiger - Don Flamenco Circuit 3: - Aran Ryan - Soda Popinski - Bald Bull - Super Macho Man Final Fight: - Mr. Sandman Possible spoilers: highlight to view I'm a little surprised seeing Sandman in the dream fight.. I mean, the whole point of the dream fight was to fight the legendary Mike Tyson.. Oh well. EDIT: The list seems pretty much confirmed now. It would be really cool if they had enough free code and fortitude to port on the original, and update the controls... now that would be a fun sidegame!

I have problems doing the Wii boxing. My punches don't resgister with the system. So I'm throwing massive combos and uppercuts and my guy stands there getting pummeled. By my five year old son.

Hmmmm, Iron Myke is with EA sports' Fight Night 4 so I highly doubt he will be in the game, as for Mr. Dream, HE HAS TO BE THERE, possible HIDDEN MATCH?

The list is pretty much confirmed now, as I said.
Also, there is a hidden character, also confirmed: (BIG SPOILERS) The special character is... Possible spoilers: highlight to view Donkey Kong. I am NOT kidding. There's even videos with him in the game on Youtube now.. Heh. |

Possible spoilers: highlight to view Wait, I thought you said it was Mr. Sandman, not Donkey Kong. Then again, I don't know who "Mr. Sandman" is. Also, did a relicensing deal with Mike Tyson fall through or something, hence the lack of Mike Tyson? Wait, is there any Mike Tyson in this new game? Possible spoilers: highlight to view Mr. Sandman is the final opponent of the game, and after you've beaten the game, there's a title defense mode, where you refight everyone whilst trying to defend your title, and there was supposed to be a hidden challenger there, now confirmed as Donkey Kong. Mike Tyson has only been in "Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! for the NES. After a while, his contract with Nintendo expired, and Nintendo didn't show any interest to renew it because he had lost his title, so they put the character "Mr. Dream" in future copies of the game (Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream). Also, Mr. Sandman was the champion of the original game, and together with Bald Bull and Super Machoman, they've been featured in the most games of the series (Though Bald Bull has made a cameo in Arm-Wrestling, a spin-off game, which gives him the most appearances). EDIT: The game is now realesed in the US (and will be in Europe on friday), and the official site has gotten a complete overhaul! This post has been edited by Gigantuar on 20th May 2009 16:49 |
