Final Fantasy VI character cameo in another game??

Correct me if I'm wrong but was there a game released for the SNES that had a few Final Fantasy VI/III characters in the background audience while the main character was fighting a monster for show or something?? I SWEAR I remember there being a game like this when I was a kid - I have searched and searched and can't find anything but I am 89% positive there is such a game.

I think you're thinking of Secret of Evermore. In the audience of the colosseum in Antiqua you can see Locke, Terra, Edgar, Mog, and Umaro. As a bonus, Cecil (from FF IV) is a shopkeeper in Ebon Keep.

They're actually Terra, Locke, Relm and Strago.
