So i have a motorola V3, not the best thing in the world, i know, but still. I have the codec as my ringtone, and i recently acquired the MGS alert noise. now, i want to set that alert noise as the sound that goes off when a text message is received, is that possible with my phone? thanks in advance

Not sure if it has the same menu, but I have a V3M. If you go into Settings and Tools, then Sound Settings, then Ring Styles, then the bottom choice (something like Detail), select the "Inbox" line and set the sound to that.
