Saturday night, I went to a Linkin Park concert, with Staind as first part (really great, big show and lots of energy in the pit pirate.gif ). That's why I'm posting this :
wich concerts did you go to, and wich one did you enjoy the most?
I personnaly have been to Skunk Anansie, Prodigy, Korn, The Chemical Brothers...and some other french acts at a festival this summer (I also saw Nada Surf at this festival, called "Solidays"). I have to say that The Chemical Brothers were really great on stage, good mix and everything, but I enjoyed the most Dyonisos, a french group.
So, now it's your turn...

Saturday I was at the Sprite Liquid Mix Tour (Talib Kweli, The Roots, O.A.R., and N.E.R.D. were the main groups.) It was good but most of the people were there to see O.A.R., so the hip-hop groups were drowned out. In the last two years I've been to De La Soul, Biz Markie, The Roots, and Common shows. The Roots was the best, they put on THE best live act in hip-hop.

I have only been to a couple, and those were few and far between. Recently, I went to an Alison Krauss and Union Station concert in New hampshire. Better than any show I've ever been to. Many people have tried to determine whether they play bluegrass, or folk, or country, easy listening; I just say that they play Real-Folk music (ie. Honest music that speaks to heart of regular people).

I've also been to River Dance, for what its worth.

The last concert I was at was Zoso, a Led Zeppelin cover band, I suggest you check them out if you get a chance. Before that I saw Incubus the same year. Back in the day I've seen Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bush, and Offspring.

Yeah! Great to find another Filter fan here! They are a damn good band, and I wish that I could go to one of their concerts once, but they'll probably never make it to Sweden anyway...user posted image

Do orchestral performances count? ;-) I've been to several of those, piano concerts, etc., but none of this popular music stuff. I can't stand crowds and loud stuff/flashing lights give me migraines. So no "real" concerts for me.

I think we can add orchestral performance. I remember having a great time going to Stomp and Tapdogs, and it's not technically concerts, but it's some form of music. And I get out every year for the "Fête de la musique" (that's 'music party'), to listen to some stuff I don't usually listen, like percussions, jazz and so on...
So, feel free to speak about any live performance you've been to, as long as it remains some sort of musical art.
Hence, title changed from "Concerts " to "Live performances" wink.gif
