I like KotR because there really strong. The coolest ones out of the ones ive seen is Neo Bahamut, I never got Bahamut Zero, can you get him on dics 3 still?

Umm I had to go with Shiva because no matter what you can't help but to like her's no matter what game you go through she's depenable and like her scenes are always Eyecandy to look at.

My favorite is Typoon ( which is actually Tupon in japanese version, sounds like Chupon, don't??), it just fun to see him, remember him from FFVI?
. Also Odin, which got the same lance from Kain in FFIV, the Gungnir spear...its just cool to see referencial material -------------------- "Its no cheating if you don't get caught" |

I like the way Shiva manifests her power - drawing it into her hand then casually waving an explosion of ice into the enemy party. You go, girl!
I think Hades is pretty cool to watch as well, if a little long. And hitting the enemy with EVERY (non-death) status effect is useful, too. "I am become Shiva, Destroyer of fire-based enemies." |

For usefulness the obvious choice is KOTR or Phoenix, but the 'coolest' summon, looks wise, would have to be Neo Bahamut.

Knights of the Round for sure. It's so amazing I couldn't even abbreviate it. That wouldn't give it justice. I remember waiting and waiting for those damn chocobos to hurry up and mate, hoping for that one gold chocobo. After hours, I finally got it. And what a wonder it was.

my favorite summon is Odin, cuz that Steel-Bladed Sword is wicked awesome in battle square when you really need to kill somethin fast (like a Marlboro

The thread title says "coolest summon". KoTR aint that cool, its a whole heap of knights having a hack.
Odin is the coolest, in both 7 and 8, I especially like him in 8, because he just randomly drops in, and annihilates anything on the screen, plus he just looks "cool" |

My favorite is Neo Bahamut. I love the way he just blasts away the entire landscape that he raises into the air, so not only does the enemy get fried, but then it has to fall all the way back down to the regular battle.

I vote Odin. KotR is kewl for damage on bosses and the weapons, but it takes about 70 years to get through, and will do un-necessary amounts of damage to smaller, annoying enemies. Odin is extremely hadny to have early on, cause it'll slash up all those groups of annoying little enemies that you cant realy be screwed killing constantly. Plus it does a diecent amount of damage to bosses at it's level.

KotR is awesome, obviously the coolest, MOST EVERYTHING summon in the game. With out counting KotR I choose Bahamut ZERO, I like that summon scene and the explosion at the end.

Incidentally, I chose Odin as well. Back in the day, on my first time through, my characters were weak on the first disk, and all I wanted to do was have a spell that could kill everything in one go. It took a long time for me to beat the boss that comes out the safe but it was well worth it. I used Odin in every battle. If a character ran out of MP then I'd swap materia. I was one of the 2 people that voted for Ramuh. I have a thing for electricity. As for KotR, I think it was a terrible idea. It's too powerful. It defeats Bizzaro Sephiroth in one turn and just makes EVERYTHING ridiculously easy. You can even use it, teamed with Hades (if you have W-Summon) and mime it and, (since he is not immune to stop) kill Ruby weapon without getting hit. I don't like the idea of breeding chocobos for days just to end up with something that makes me more powerful (by far) than the enemy (all of them).

Odin was my favourite. Gunce Lance was so awesome to look at. Although it wasn't the strongest, it was the best to look at, in my opinion.
