Quote (Zodiac @ 3rd July 2005 22:47) This is the innapropriate forum, I'm pretty sure you didn't use the search option because your are new here, If you didn't please use it the next time you will create a topic. Because this is about more than one game on Square so it should go in the section called: «General Squenix Gaming». -------------------- Sayonara |

This includes playable and non-playable characters
![]() I know a lot of people may hate me for this (ffx blasters) but I loved Lulu her personality is just so funny one of the few believable characters in FFX and her outfit is just. Oh my days!!!! I'll probably think of others but for now Lulu tops it X) -------------------- And on the eighth day, God created Final Fantasy.... |

When people ask me that question I usually say Celes. I explained why some time ago.

Make that two people for Celes; her character development was really fun to watch. Her personality is very interesting...you know, she's not just one of those flat characters.

i would like to make that three. she has more depth than any other FF character. and since FFVI's main selling point is its story, and Celes is one of the main components of that story.
but i love Sabin. my entire motivation for coming up with sequels is because of him. i have always felt defensive over him. while the Sabin in my personal fanfic is very different, Sabin is still my fav. -------------------- |

This is a hard choice for me.
First of all, due to the inherent awesomeness of anything even remotely dragoon, with Kain taking the medal in this category for additional badassery. Second, I adore the series' womanizers (as I find some of their clumsier attempts to court girls reminiscent of real life ;P ), with Edge taking place not only as my favourite womanizer, but also my favourite FF4 character (somehow, he gets character development, who woul have thought of that?). Third, any character from FF6 is solid gold. ANY. Locke and Setzer stole my heart here, both tragic heroes in a similiar way and both struggling to overcome their tragedy. Then, there's the Cids. FF2 set the classic "badass engineer" archetype (although giving him some knightly behaviour due to his backstory) and also one of my favourites, unrivaled until FF12's antagonist Cid (One of my favourite characters in his game). FF4 and FF7 follow the archetype, adding a foul mouth and a good deal of recklessness. 12 itself also has Balthier, who, probably mostly due to reminding me of a more gentlemanly Han Solo, wins my heart. So seriously, I have a hard time deciding. -------------------- "I fell off the mountain of words at around the 10,000ft mark. Soooooo hard. Ask me on any given day and my response might be different, but for now I actually think I must say Balthier. He's a cool/bada** "leading-man" with good voice acting, a nice design, good development, and great dialogue.
Other contenders include(ed) Celes, Kefka, Vivi, Garnet (remarkable transformation, imho), White Mage (FF), Rinoa (so sue me), Irvine, Ashe, Ramza, Alma, Rosa, Kain, and/or Moogles in general. EDIT: Also Locke, Setzer, Edgar, Edward (FFIV) This post has been edited by yelanates on 30th November 2008 10:47 |

Any Ninja. I cant get enough of them XD itd probably have to Amarant. But there are so many characters to choose from and theyre all pretty much awesome! With a few exceptions.
But Yeah, probably out of Amarant, Freya, Celes, Umaro, or Cid -------------------- *Sigh*....Times are tough |

Faris!
The only character to start the game as a dude, and end up a chick. All the while bringing other peoples questions about their sexuality to the forefront. ![]() Also, with the FFV job system, she can be a Priate-Ninja. So for all the people asking the age old question of either Pirate OR Ninja, I say both. This is where I get either ignored or blasted, but I have to go with Cloud. Big freakin' sword, amnesia, mercenary. I love it. And I wasn't an anime fan before I played it so I don't fall into the "liking anyone with spiky hair" stereotype that I read awhile back. I just thought he was cool and still do. I still play VII every so often and I still love it. Unfortunately, I've played so many times I don't have the feeling of discovery and wonder I had before, but oh well. And it's graphics were crap, so I certainly wasn't playing it for those.

Tellah. I'm not really sure why, but I've always liked him. His revenge against Golbez is a nice part of the story, IMO.
I also like Cid(FFIII and IV), Shadow, Palom & Porom etc but Tellah is probably my biggest favourite. |

I stand by what I posted in the past thread that was previously posted. I would go so far as to say that Ramza and Laguna are my favorite video game characters of all time. Selfless, caring, and humanly-flawed characters that put others' needs over their own deserves a lot of recognition.I think I like them more than anybody becuase I see a lot of my personality in those two beloved heroes.

Kain, Bartz, Edgar, Cloud, Reno, and Zidane.
They all stole my heart. I'm all over the board, I don't think there's anything in common with them except for their coolness. -------------------- Why, hello guys! Haven't been around here in a loooong time! http://dragcave.net/user/LadyTwi http://www.backloggery.com/ladytwi |

I would have to say my favorite NPC would be General Leo Christophe. I admired how he treated everyone as fellow human beings, including his enemies. When he was first introduced outside of Doma, he struck me as a very honourable person, and this image just stuck.
As for playable characters, my favorite would have to be either Cecil Harvey or Kain Highwind. I sympathized with Cecil right off the bat, when he questioned the orders of the king. He also showed great character as he scaled Mt. Ordeals so that he could rid himself of the darkness and become a Paladin. Kain, on the other hand, came to be enslaved by the darkness inside of him, and his multiple betrayals added great twists to the storyline. I also admire him for breaking through the darkness and assisting with the destruction of Zemus/Zeromus. -------------------- "My name is Atma...I am a power both ancient and unrivaled...
