[I did a search for similar topics, so i apologize if this has already been discussed]
Squaresoft should release a version of Tactics that pits a player's team versus another one's online through perhaps the DS. I'm actually surprised this wasn't considered when releasing the original game, since it's a turned based strategy game and not real time. (you wouldn't even need two controllers) *duh* I just did a search for such options on any of the newer games and came across this article from IGN (http://psp.ign.com/articles/772/772852p1.html) which tells of a Japan PSP version that will have this feature included. No release date on an American version, argg... Probably the only negative point of tactics is the solo run. (that and the scroll glitch, haha) |

Umm... the PSP version is out in America. That article is from March 2007. Here it's called Final Fantasty Tactics: The War of the Lions, and it does have multiplayer head-to-head and multiplayer co-op (but only in special co-op missions, not main story missions). It's all pretty fun, and it's often the only way to get a lot of the best equipment in the game.

laszlow is right, the PSP remake is out long ago. And the multiplayer mode is fun and at the same time, really worth it if you win since you have a chance to get one of the most powerful items that can only be obtained in that mode. Also, the multiplayer mode also allows players to join forces and complete certain missions together. Here's some pics to show what it looks like:

Once you know their pattern, you can build a counter strategy. |
