Yeah, I have Final Fantasy II or something for the GBA. It's a lot different than all the other games. They have races you need to choose from, and the weapons rely on certain stats and can run out. Kind of interesting.
And Final Fantasy Tactics is out too. Yeah, I heard it was pretty good. I'm not sure I'll buy it, considering the plot is so lacking. Just being able to customize characters in the car might draw me in though. Not sure yet. I have FFL1. It's a really good RPG all things considered, but because of limited gameplay time they put into it, it doesn't measure up to the numbered FFs.
Still good, though. I'd be playing it right now if my GameBoy didn't break. -------------------- "I had to write four novels before they let me write comic books." -Brad Meltzer |

In case anyone doesn't know and is wondering, the reason they're so different from the numbered Final Fantasy games is that they're actually not Final Fantasy games at all.
The Final Fantasy Legend series was originally SaGa, and Final Fantasy Adventure is Seiken Densetsu in its home country (i.e. Secret of Mana, erm, 0 or something). But marketing men, being marketing men, lumped them all under the Final Fantasy banner to make more sales. Isn't that typical? |

Okay... Listen, I thought as much of the FFL's, and didn't like them (blah!), but Final Fantasy Adventure was very FF'ish to me. (Was wondering why'd they call Cid "Dr Bowow" though ![]() If you don't like it - bite me! ![]() Moderator Edit Did I say I didn't like them? No, I said they're different. Fact. I played through Legend 3, and I thought it was really good. At least at the time, anyway; it's been a while since I've played it. It was pretty challenging, too, which I loved.

I liked Final Fantasy Legend 3. When I bought it, there weren't many gameboy RPGs, and it gave me something fun to do on long trips.
