I'm replaying FF6 and I'm just before going to the Floating Continent.

I'm trying to get all of Mog's dances before I travel to the WoR (apart from one of course which can only be achieved in the WoR) but I was wondering how I can get the Water dance as whenever I go through the Serpent Trench river, I am taken miles away and cannot get back to my airship.

Basically, I need to know how to get the water dance and then return to the airship, any help would be greatly appreciated

Huh...I had to look for myself because i could swear i saw this on the site but maybe not. You leave your air ship at the town of nikeah take a chocobo past the go all the way to the east, just barley making it past some mountains until you can head south. Then make your way to baren falls (where you made the leap the first time). Now you are back on the veldt. The next step is repeating what you did when you first got gau. Make your way to his cave with the "shiny thing" then jump where you jumped before into the waterway. You will fight encounters here where you will get the dance. Make sure you don't run (obviously) eventually you will make it back to nikeah and congrats you are done. enjoy.
