For that matter, why does a tresure chest talk? And, "Lock Cole". Lock picks locks, and I coulda sworn there was a locksmithing company called Cole. Go figure. EDIT: I was replying to Lockes AlterEgo on that one.

I would assume the rogues and ninjas wait because it's a trap. I could be wrong.
You um...had to get the cider in order to get the password. Perhaps it's a rare type of cider. I think someone here stated the Dr. Gero comparison to Gestahl before...they do look very similar, but the DBZ man has very scary and puffy clothing. Usually, Gestahl gets compared to a dog. What made you think of Umaro's supposed connection to voodoo? -------------------- |

To the guy with the SrBehemoth thing - I always thought it was Señor Behemoth. Blame Spanish class, I have no idea.
I really have a lot of random thoughts during the game; usually, it's just to make fun of it. I'll state a few. - The first time I saw Kefka I just said out loud, "I spy with my little eye something beginning with gay clown." God, I love Kefka. - When you walk into Narshe in the WoR, walk up and Lone Wolf the Pickpocket talks to you. This makes absolutely no sense, considering the last I remember I had to choose to save Mog or Lone Wolf from falling off a cliff and I chose Mog. So really, I would assume Lone Wolf would die. But no, apparently falling off a big cliff doesn't result in death. Hell, I think in this game falling from great heights really doesn't matter - I did it on the Floating Continent, Cyan & Sabin did it down a waterfall; crap, Possible spoilers: highlight to view Moral of the story: Jumping from great heights does not result in death.Celes tried killing herself from a cliff and she still didn't die. - I've always wondered what happened to Gestahl's body after Kefka practically kicked him off the Floating Continent. - In the WoR, I forgot who states it, but someone says animals and plants are dying. How does everyone eat then? Heck, how do they drink? That purple, murky stuff called water cannot possibly taste good. - Okay, so I'm only so far in the game. I've beaten the Wind Dragon (Mt. Zozo) and the Fire Dragon (Phoenix Cave). They looked like pretty strong dragons, so naturally when I stumble across the Ice Dragon I think the same. Nope, look again. I couldn't beat the Ice Dragon for the first time because I could not take it seriously since it just looked so...small and harmless. Trust me, I was quickly enlightened. And yes, Gestahl does look like a dog and Owzer does look like Jabba the Hutt. |

I second that (about what the heck do people eat and drink in the WoR). Especially since the end of the world cinematics looked like huge atomic bombs detonating all over the world. Can we say, "magical fallout?"
![]() Oh and Gestahl does looks like a cocker spaniel. When I saw SrBehemoth, all I could think of was "Sir Behemoth", and imagined it talking like a proper English gent. |

That purple, murky stuff called water cannot possibly taste good. There's probably a lot of debris in the water, but there are ways people drink tainted water. Perhaps they use that heating technique to clean the water, or they just get used to it. In the WoR, it's implied that the population of the world decreases dramatically, and those who are fit to live are able to find food. If there are animals out there that come out and attack you in random battles, there must be some out there that you can eat, right? And some animals survive on plants (so there must be some plants out there, too). The food chain isn't completely destroyed. -------------------- |

I started replaying the game, and did anybody ever notice while in Figaro castle, Locke asks Terra to follow him (right before the fire). After a few rooms, he disappears. Was this an accident, or on purpose? Was this mistake fixed on the GBA port?

It used to puzzle me how everyone could jump from way up in the airship and land without breaking anything.
Possible Spoiler? Possible spoilers: highlight to view And how Setzer is able to leap down from his airship onto the Opera stage(how did he get the airship in there in the first place?), grab Celes, then leap all the way back up there? |

Pity Gestahl didn't have the foresight to buy a pair of Dragoon boots before he boarded the Floating Continent. Being an emperor and all, he could have easily hooked that up.

I have given this some thought, and I have come to this conclusion...
They do not use pockets, all final fantasy characters have linked bags of holding that any one of them can pull out of (as long in same game of course) not only that, but the mass of objects make no difference, as whether it's 99 potions or 99 Mythril Shotguns (ya know, something along those lines =P) -------------------- "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter, don't mind." -Dr. Seuss |

Also, it's kinda strange how Celes can be in a coma for a whole year, then wake up and be able to move normally as if she just woke up from a nap. Of course, what else could the developers have done? I mean, they couldn't show her waking up, then being stuck in bed while she slowly recovers. (BO-RING!) |

On the topic of Ether, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas always came to mind. (Link contains DRUGS AND DIRTY WORDS, be warned)
I bet if you huffed enough, you would be capable of magic....or at least believe you were, shortly before you stopped breathing. Quote (Ultimaniac @ 27th August 2008 19:59) Also, it's kinda strange how Celes can be in a coma for a whole year, then wake up and be able to move normally as if she just woke up from a nap. Yeah, it wouldn't work like that at all in real life. Muscles will atrophy and bedsores will set in. I assume Cid moved her enough and changed her bedding so as to avoid the horrible, horrible bedsores. This post has been edited by Genji Gloves on 16th September 2008 12:18 |

Quote (FountainheadShrugged @ 24th November 2008 23:59) "Son of a Submariner? Did he actually just SAY that?" "How does throwing an item do more damage that hitting someone with it?" Because when you throw something as it's traveling it is picking up speed and momentum. when a fast object is suddenly stopped it has what is know as a stopping force, which is preportional to the speed in which the object was traveling. so for example you hit someone with you're sword, you're sword is limited by you're natural speed and the force you exert on it. however and object in motion has no outside force (other than gravity) to slow it down so it can pick up momentum and cause greater impact once it hits. I've always wondered why chocobos are such a convenient form of transportation when they have trains and airships, wouldnt they have cars with the on set of those? -------------------- Don't fear the reaper! Quote I've always wondered why chocobos are such a convenient form of transportation when they have trains and airships, wouldnt they have cars with the on set of those? I actually once thought about that myself. Wheeled, track-free transit might be in its infancy in the FF6 world. There is the Tunnel Armor, a vehicle on wheels that is not confined to tracks. Maybe the Empire had autos in the works before they went fully to work on Magitek. And on the subject of trains, why is Cyan such a klutz with the train machinery when it's part of his own country? If Doma is technophobic (as Cyan's ineptitude on the phantom train would suggest) why do they possess the world's only train system (excluding the local underground rails below Vector?) |
