Alright, folks.  As you probably guessed, the topic of this is exactly what is said in the subject line.  *ahem*  As you may or may not know, SquareEnix has announced that they are working on Kingdom Hearts 2.  Now, I know it was kind of disappointing when only FF7, 8, and 10 characters were shown.  In HK2, a friend of mine would like to remedy that.  My friend has started a petition to Square asking them include Final Fantasy 6 and 9 characters in the game.

Now, I know FF6 characters getting in might be a long shot.  But maybe if Square saw how large the fanbase for the game is, maybe they will consider it.  Plus, it'll get more older gamers to buy.  And if they ever rerelease FF6 for the GBA or whatever, it'll get more people to buy.  And I'm sure Square can't say no to more money.

Now, I know this means nothing to most of you.  Well, how's this?  If it works, those of you with fan sites will get more hits and a larger viewer base.  Thus, more recognition.

It will only take you a minute or two to actually sign the thing.  So, please, don't blow me off and at least give it a shot.  And if they didn't announce it... well... *shruges*

I think you're making an excellent first impression.  Instead of just whining about the way things are, you're trying to change them, even if the change is something like including certain characters in a to-be-released video game.

I'll sign the petition.  Good luck with it.  I think you'll have a lot less trouble getting people to care about this than I had with the petition I posted here.  That's something we have in common, by the way--my first post here was to attract attention to a petition, too.

The petition I created is in reference to the change in the way Yuna and Rikku were portrayed in Final Fantasy X, which had a male main character, and the way they (and all of the other female characters) will be portrayed in Final Fantasy X-2, which has female main characters.  Basically, my contention is that Square decided to make Yuna and Rikku "sexier" to appeal to a male audience who they didn't think would play a game about girls unless the girls were hot.  Saying that they're sexier doesn't really cover it, either--the way their clothing and demeanors have changed absolutely disgusts me.

I signed your petition, Karasu.  I agree with you completely on the issue.  First time I saw the character art for the game, I was digusted.  (Though, I didn't liked Final Fantasy 10 all that much to begin with.  The amount of cutscenes gave me a headache.)

I like the way you think, Zero. Though personally, even if they just put Kefka in as a boss I'll be happy.

Ahhhhh I get it now to pretty clever.  Oh and I signed your petition to but it kind of is dissapointing that only 25 people signed it so far.  I know!  I'll post it in RvB unless its somehow against the rules.  That would be cool except for one thing which is why they probably wont do it changing a character from 2d to 3d means you would have to change how they look.  And knowing people most people would not agree and I would probably be one of them.

Well that may be so wheatsac, but certain chars have been put in 3-d and I had no problem with there looks, I in fact thought the 3-d Sabin looked better.

Wow, that would be totally awesome, especially if they put in stuff from all the games (as unlikely as that is).  Maybe this could fix the stigma that all FF games besides 7, 8, and 10 are bad and not worth playing all because they don't look realistic (grrrrr) or something.  Here's hoping your petition does something, although it may be too late.....

Indeed, the least I would like SquareEnix to do is put Kefka in as a boss or something. *Hugs Kefka, gets zapped by him* Oww...

And if they don't, well, I'm afraid I would have to hurt someone there.

Putting Celes in would be nice too. Just if they do, they should change how she looked and not just use the design from the Final Fantasy Anthology FMVs. It looks like they just took Terra's design, changed her face a little and stuck a different outfit on her.

I posted this on Gamefaqs.com, on the Kingdom Hearts board. Hopefully some people sign it. I did, and I support it all the way. I'm sure signatures will start racking up.

Of the FFVI characters, I'd love to see Kefka, Sabin, or Celes put in an appearance. Kefka because every game needs some purely evil villainy, Sabin because it would just be sweet to see him Blitzin' around, and Celes as a boss just to frustrate the magic-dependent types.
As for FFIX, somebody's got to get in from there. Trouble being, of course, that the FFIX characters' team dynamic kinda precludes a singular entry. I don't have a clue which of them should be put into KH2, just that it would be a crime against quality games if no one was.
While they're at it, maybe they could also put in Magus and his hench-Mazoku. That might make for a neat sidequest of sorts.

steiner and beatrix would both fit the game's style, in my opinion. the most obvious choice (in the vein of squall, cloud, and tidus), however, is zidane.
