Hope this isn't a pointless topic to make.
Which last name is your favorite? Branford, Cole, Figaro, Garamonde, Chere, Gabbiani, Magus, or Arrowny? I hope I didn't miss any. This does NOT include the non-playable character or temporary character last names, like Palazzio and such. I like Branford. And Arrowny and Magus. How about you? Sorry I keep making so many "Favorite" topics... |

I like Chere (Sounds like Cherie)
Figaro (Sounds like an opera FIIIIIIIIGAAAAAAAAROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!) Then there's Branford, it's different which makes a perfect match for Tina's situation in this game! By the way I like Favorites topics! They make people ignite in healthy debates and they learn all the time! Pointless? -------------------- .¸•´¨¯¨*°•.,¸¸,•´¦♥¦`•,¸¸,.•°*¨¯¨´•¸. Apparently, it's French (and I did look it up in a dictionary during my french class) for "dear". Phonetically, it's pretty awesome and helps her full name flow well. Have you ever heard of The Marriage of Figaro? It's an opera. This post has been edited by Harlequin on 27th June 2008 02:03 -------------------- |

My favorites are Magus (rightful reference by me to Chrono trigger, YESSS!!!)
and Arrowny, because it has the word arrow in it, part of my favorite weapon too! I also semi-enjoy Gabbiani and Branford for being different than a usual sounding last name Ive always tried to make up last names for mog, umaro, and gogo... (First attempts were that of Gogo Hojo, Umaro's was near impossible, and simply Mog Moogle...hehe) -------------------- <DrkMagimaster282> MWAHAHA. Id pick Magus because its probably the best last name in VI and also because its the name of my favorite character in Chrono Trigger.

When I first saw Branford I was kind of double-takey. It seems so English and ordinary. Then I decided I loved it for that reason. (Aeris totally copied the English ordinary theme btw).
But who can resist GABBIANI. I mean, really. Just say it. GABBIANI. -------------------- Some ghost of me might greet my son the day he is delivered. Eternal Sleep, Track 1-1: The Blue Planet |

I like Magus as a name, but I really don't like Strago so meeeh. This post has been edited by Lockpick on 2nd July 2008 04:08 -------------------- The opera was only performed in English ONCE. According to this page (and there's the pronunciation for it by the section from the Oxford Dictionary), it says you say it like "share" which is what I always assumed. "Sheer" sounds a bit odd with her first name anyway. -------------------- |

I never knew their last names. Hmmm. All of them have a pretty nice ring to them.
I'll say Gabbiani + Garamonde |

i was always interested in Relm's last name, Arrowny, and where exactly she obtained it. I don't want to reveal any spoilage, but considering a few subplots within the game, her entire character has always left me curious about her past. I suppose her last name is definitely linked to that

1: Branford is really cool" And Terra's my fav!) ANd it so girly sounding! 2: Figaro is royal and sounds like its from the past- I love old things, like history! And the castle is located in a desert, has to be the hottest place for a handsome man to live! 3: Gabbiani reminds me of two things; Freinds- Joey's last name and Irvine from FFVIII. All real cool names though! -------------------- Isn't it soooo Cute!?
|

Because Setzer looks like a ladies man...And Irvine is a ladies man. I personally love them both, though.
