In your opinion, what is the absolute best healer/supporter?

IMO
Chemist
3 faith
97 brave

Abilitys
Items
White Magicks
Cup of Life? (Not sure if can be used on self)
Swiftness
Move +3

I was going to say Beowulf leveled to 99 as a templar then changed to a white mage with the use of the healing staff, but the ability to throw AND a gun is always useful if you dont want any charge at all or if you just wanna shoot a red chocobo in the dome ;] But then again you could always do the Beowulf scenario and replace swiftness with Throw Items. And I really have no idea about the Cup of Life sad.gif

I'd say a White Mage with Time Magic. Ignoring the all-powerful, expensive, and make-your-character-very-vulnerable-during-charging (couldn't think of a better alternative) Meteor and Gravity spells, even though they're great damage-dealers, Haste, Slow, Immobilize, and Stop can turn the battle considerably in your party's favor. Even if the enemies are immune to Slow, Stop, and Don't Move, casting Haste on all your characters, especially the front-line tanks will give you the edge. Even moreso if the character has a high Faith stat and magic bonuses to increase the success rates and recover more HP and deal more damage with Holy, Gravity magics, and Meteor. Top it ALL off with a Healing Staff and a Ribbon (I'd think it'd be best to have this character as a female) and you have a well-rounded character with great support and healing capabilities.

Try this:

Samurai (equipment set up to emphasize MA and HP)

1 Faith, 97 Brave
Draw Out / Iaido
Item
Blade Grasp / Shirihadori
Move +3

This way, you get a character with high survivability, practically immume to enemy spells with that low Faith, capable of using X-Potions, X-Ethers, Phoenix Downs, and Elixers for item healing, and capable of using Murasame, Kiyomouri, and Masamune for healing and for four excellent status effects. Draw Out and high potential WA and PA make him OK on offense as well. His only major drawback is a lack of mobility - you can replace Move +3 with Teleport, but with only 3 base Move it still won't help you that much.
