Ah yes..Tidus.
 I know alot of people don't like him, but I thought Squall was a good main character. Sure, he doesn't say what he's thinking etc, but don't we all do that sometimes? Granted I like Celes, but she fills in her place of miserable damsel, let's commit suicide! I mean, if I was one of the only two people left of earth I'd find a way of that fricken island. Screw suicide that was just silly. Apart from that Terra has an exuse to be love-starved and lonely, she wasn't human or esper, next to that she was a 16 year old girl. All sixteen year old girls are love starved and crazy. All teens whine, bitch, and moan so Terra fits my preference.

Cloud definetly. if he wasnt created the game would have been so much worse. his personality is perfect thats why i like him.

My vote goes to Tidus. Out of all of the Final Fantasy Games that I've played, he's the most downright likeable of all the main characters. (Although I do sort of debate whether he's really the "main character" of FFX; he seems to be that only by virtue of being the guy the player controls.
 ) He's just so cute and friendly and loyal and I wanna hug him.  I also like the fact that, while he is the main character, he's not the strongest fighter. He definitely takes second place to, say, Auron and Wakka where that's concerned, but he's far from useless. I like that.  |

Well, I'm glad that the author of this poll included Celes as a protagonist, and that's who I voted for.

I liked terra as a character, but i think if locke can be included as a main character, i would put him up there too. he may not be many peoples favorite, but i find something very interesting and identifiable. zidane would also be up there simply because he copped a feel on dagger when she was climbing up into the hilda garde.

Terra. Â I have to give props to her. Â She's the first female lead in the series. Â And her struggle with who she is is just rivating to watch. I've never heard someone say Celes was the main character in the second part of 6 though...
Tidus is a dork. Â I'm sorry to say. Â But I wish Wakka was the main character for 10. Â I think his accent is sexy.

Zidane, though the gloomy, brooding Squall falls just short of my vote. I just can't get enough of the aristocratic, street-smart, wise-cracking, womanizing thief. He has the most realistic personality of any FF character. It's fun seeing what he's thinking too (such as you could see Squall's thoughts in VIII). Locke would be up there too if he was posted; Zidane was Locke on the PS with a few minor altercations.

I think that Terra, Locke, Edgar, Sabin and Celes could all have qualified as main characters for VI. My vote would go to either Squall, Cloud, Celes or Cecil because I love how they all went through a transformation - Squall began to appreciate his friends and open up to people, Cloud had his identity crisis thingy, Celes changed from the ice cold general to a much warmer individual and Cecil had the whole dark night --> paladin thing.

 Well, if you couldn't tell by my name, it's Cecil. He seemed to go through the greatest amount of growth of all the heros. i would have to say that the ff6 coice would say anyone cause there is really no MAIN character cause they all contribute to the story line but since i can pick other id say gogo cause he can use anyones skills which is uber kool, plus i am alot like him in the sense that i also am very mysterious and i keep to myself ALOT

I voted "other" since I believe that there is no main character in FFVI, if there was it would be my boy Locke. However, if I was forced at gunpoint to make a decision I would say Zidane just cause of the whole scene when he was getting tortured by Garland. Zidane was a true badass at that moment.

Cecil. Morality and honor. Transformation from Dark Knight to Paladin. Crystal equipment ("Crystal Paladin"--what a great title to have!). Gets to use crystal on Zeromus because he almost embodies sacred power. Plus, being half-Lunarian, and fighting whom he didn't know what his brother. And REAL GOOD LOOKS--I'm a guy, and even I say that he looks good (not the same way Lucca or Rydia look good, of course, you perverts). (Hell, I'd want to be like him!)

CLOUD!!! My favorite main character from my favorite final fantasy. I think it his sword that makes him the best but it could be the glowing eyes or the crazy hair.
