I remember the first time I played this, I stayed up overnight, that was the start of so many sleepless nights playing Final Fantasy. Loving Final Fantasy IV is something I think I will always do.

Yea I have to admit, FFIV or 2 in my case kept me up for hours on end, and when the game genie codes for it where available oh man. I still remember the infinite HP secret, you had to turn off the game genie so the bosses didn't have infinite HP too.

Not to mention i'm 24 years old and i can basically recite every single line of the SNES version, i played it through at LEAST 14 times.

I know the feeling of the "up all night" thing! I have the GBA version so when it's lights out it's game on!!

I first played it on an emulator at school, only about the first 45 mins though. When I saw it in the game shop for GBA I went mental and bought it, to play through again and again...

It's the most addictive GBA game I've ever bought. VI is better, but for some reason, IV kept me playing for longer.

"You Spoony Bard!" ...hahaha!!!!

haha, omg. I've been playing it since it was called 2 as well. I even traded my FF7 disc when 7 got uber popular just to keep the cartrage. xD

I've beated the SNES and PS1 versons soo many times. I know where and what everything is. I don't usually like Remakes....they have too much extra stuff and they seem to wussi-fy the enemies and make leveling easier....but I finally bit the bullet to play FF4 on GBA. It's actually helping me take the pain of having to wait for it on DS.
I just went out and got a DS today, just for that game.

Those were the days... man that game was probaly my favorite out of all the ffs i've played. The characters were just so appealing and awesome looking. I remember when my friend and I always used to argue about the whose better edge or edward. It turned out we decided there both good you just have to train them.

Rock on Banjo! I can't wait for it to come out either. The in store trailer is totally pimp. I have a question though, does the game actually have a voiceover like in the trailer?

If they did they would have blood-thirsty FF Fans on their hands, including me! tongue.gif
Seriously, they shouldn't. They know that avid FF fans and newcomers hate voiceovers in games unless it's supposed to help them with the game(or give info). huh.gif

Why would you hate a voiceover when you can just turn off the volume if you don't like it?

You know.. I started with the series around the time that it came out on the SNES.. got ahold of FF1 cause I heard it was like Dragon Warrior only better. I did like the mix of old medieval ideas and new technology mixed into IV. Then VII came along and had a mix of sci-fi which I loved.. to this day, many years later, I still argue with myself over which was the better of the two. Reguardless.. I remember many sleepless nights on this game. Ahh to go back in time 15 years and have no sense of responsibility.. just the summer break and long hours of FF.
