So Squenix announced their three-game lineup for the 360 recently, and it's pretty impressive.
Star Ocean 4 = The trailer looks pretty cool, though there's no gameplay. Hopefully there'll be more of a plot this time around. It certainly boasts some beautiful graphics. Squenix hasn't ruled out a PS3 release yet. The Last Remnant = I've been pretty excited about this one for some time. The battle system, and the ability to lead your own army, looks really exciting as well, and I'm really excited to play around with it. The idea of a war-ravaged world is also pretty intriguing. Infinite Undiscovery = (Trailer) Honestly, I don't know what is happening in the plot of this game. It seems to be really concerned with the concept of real time. It seems to be very action oriented as well. What do you think this means for the future of Squenix? Do you think they'll try to shift over to the 360, or could this be just an attempt to attract more American gamers? i think its just to attract other gamers, but now the fact that the PS 3 is now outselling the 360 might stop some of the 360 exclusives.

I'm excited for the next installment of the Star Ocean series, but I'm hoping the Square-Enix will not overlook the PS3 at all. Speaking of SO, I'm grateful that the first two games are being re-released for the PSP, with the original finally arriving on North American shores.

Ummm... Square-Enix has NOT been ignoring the PS3. Final Fantasy XIII? Versus XIII?
The Last Remnant has been guaranteed a PS3 port later on, but not those other two. I think that Square-Enix is just trying to take advantage of both the 360 and PS3 fanbases by offering exclusives to both sides, and possibly porting later on if acclaim, sales, and demand are all impressive enough. And I'm also excited about First Departure. The first Star Ocean game was pretty good, but horribly flawed with it's auto-tracking battle system and poorly-implemented item creation. First Departure is supposedly the original Star Ocean rebuilt in a new version of Star Ocean 2's engine, which to me sounds delicious. RPGFan already has an import review of it: http://rpgfan.com/reviews/Star_Ocean_First...ture/index.html -------------------- |

I'm interested in all 3 games and I really hope Infinite Undiscovery has a plotline. And about FF XIII, I'm buying a PS3 just for that lol. I just hope they don't release it on 360 after I buy or I'll be pissed...

Quote Ummm... Square-Enix has NOT been ignoring the PS3. Final Fantasy XIII? Versus XIII? I didn't mean that they have been ignoring the PS3, only that this change from squenix's strict PS only policy is somewhat surprising. I hope they at least bring the new Star Ocean over to the PS3. -------------------- Currently Playing : Final Fantasy V Most Recently Beat : Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Favorite Game : Final Fantasy X The newest CoNcast is up!
