Alrighty O. First lets weigh in our contestants and "class" (Yes I know the last names, but i'm not listing full names
Cecil, Paladin             Terra, Mage Knight Kain, Dragoon            Locke, Thief Rydia, Caller             Edgar, Mechanic Tellah, Sage             Sabin, Monk Edward, Bard             Cyan, Samurai       Rosa, Wh. Mage           Gau, Berserker Yang, Monk              Celes, Rune Knight Porom, Wh. Mage          Shadow, Ninja Palom, Bl. Mage           Setzer, Gambler Cid, Engineer             Mog, Moogle Edge, Ninja/Thief          Strago, Blue Mage Fusoya, Lunarian           Relm, Pictomancer                      Gogo, Mimic                     Umaro, Sasquatch 12 FFVI warriors... 14 FFIV warriors... Oooh, 4's outnumbered a bit Now lets see, by simple class definition who'd fight... I'm gonna say.... Cecil vs Cyan mmm.... outnumbered.... they gotta do a 2v1 somewhere Edge vs Locke and Shadow Edward vs Gau and Umaro Rydia vs Terra Sabin vs Yang (duh) Kain vs Mog Cid vs Edgar Fusoya vs Strago Rosa vs Celes Tellah vs Gogo Setzer vs Palom Porom vs Relm ok now we have that sorted out... Who would win these fights?... i'd think we'd end up with the results of... Cecil Shadow Gau Rydia Sabin Kain, (as much as I Edgar (unless Cid calls the airforce, and even then...) Fusoya Celes Tellah (Gogo's a mimic, Tellah's useless, but if hes mimicing someone useless, then how good is he?) Palom Relm ------------------ Cecil vs Shadow Gau vs Palom Rydia vs Celes Tellah vs Relm Sabin vs Fusoya Kain vs Edgar ------------------ Cecil (Shadow's uber cool, but Cecil is a damned good warrior) Gau Rydia (Celes may runic some uber powerful magic, but Bahamut sides with Rydia) Relm (Feh, she wouldn't paint Tellah, she'd probably just hit him with remember or something, she'd brushwhip him) Sabin (Fusoya has the magic, but Sabin has the moves) Kain ------------------ Cecil vs Gau Rydia vs Relm Sabin vs Kain ------------------ Gau (Simply put, Cecil's skills can't take the wild child) Rydia (Even with the brush, she can't take the heat) Sabin (Kain may be a badass, but compared to Sabs, hes a sadass) ------------------ Oooh, looks like we have a threeway Gau vs Rydia vs Sabin I think Gau would easily be wiped out, leaving simply Sabs and Rydia. Now we have a fight that depends on whos quicker. I'm certain by now that one bumrush would wipe Rydia out, but in the same key, i'm sure that one attack from Bahamut would wipe Sabin out, so whos quicker? I'm most certain it would be Sabin. So in the end, the best is Sabin and therefore FF6 -------------------- This one time I punched a bear in the forehead TO DEATH! I still have the scars on my chest. I am the manliest man that ever did man. League: Z3roHawk Steam: Zero_Hawk Wii U: Zero_Hawk FF14 - Goblin - Zero Hawk <Fiend> |

personally, i think ffiv's heros would win, just because they are all like the tiptop of their respective professional careers (really, everyone but cid and edward are trained in combat to the max). i mean, yeah, in ffvi you have big bad sabin and ubersamurai cyan, but you have a bunch of characters who are not especially renowned fighters (mog, setzer, locke, gau, relm, etc. -- i like ffvi's chars better tho). They certainly have the upper hand of diversity in spellcasting, but that really takes the games' playstyle discrepancies into considertaion and makes it really an unfair fight.

I'd bet on FFIV's characters. They're more professional fighters, and there's more of a sense of cohesion with them. That, and you wouldn't have Terra suddenly decide that she wasn't want to fight at a crucial moment.
