So many to choose from is so hard to pick just one!!
Some of the choices here have a long list of games and they would cost a very high price, but in my opinion a FF and DQ box ste would kick gran butt, and a Legend of Zelda box set would most definately catch my attention! Well since I've played the majority of Final Fantasy games, I would rather much prefer a Legend Of Zelda boxset since that is another one of my favourite series but I have only played Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask and Phantom Hourglass. I have been meaning to play the rest of the games.

Fallout for sure. I love messed up, chaotic future stories and that one has really got my interest. I even have a Fallout campaign setting for tabletop RPing and my players actually use bottlecaps as currency.

FF and LoZ would definitely make great boxsets. The others I don't know enough about, except for Pokémon, which would make a poor boxset because there's so much overlap in the games.

The Donkey Kong Country series and Donkey Kong 64 because i spent most of my life playing those games and well, its been like 5-6 years since ive actually played any of them. Although i still actually have Dk64 sitting in my basement.

Everyone says FF, but the thing about that is, it's easy to get your hands on any of the FF games. i would rather see a box set for a series that is harder/more expensive to buy, like suikoden. with the exception of FFVII, all the FF games are easy to find and dirt cheep.

I'd want to see a DQ boxset. My gameplay over on the Enix side of things was
always via rental or friend's copies. Portable, official emulations on something like the DS or the PSP (maybe via RemotePlay on the PS3) would be a great way to revisit some of the ones I missed out on. I'd think most visitors to the CoN would already own the majority of the FF titles they wanted to keep. -------------------- Putting the A's in W lm rt: A11smart, Jobclass: Retailer. |

I-III all had remakes on the SNES and Game Boy Color, IV has had PS1 and DS remake, V has had a PS2 and DS remake, and VI has an upcoming DS remake. Those three latter DS remakes should be hitting the US in the next year or so. VII, one of the most popular PS1 games in Japan, probably has a PSP port in its future. -------------------- |

Breath of fire would be awesome. Each of those games has great replay value.

Thinking about a Pokemon boxset, would it really be that good? I mean the games are great and will always be classics. But they'll all really the same game when it comes down to it.
And as someone said above, a DK boxset would be great -------------------- Snake: I'm no hero...never was...never will be... Meryl: You havn't changed at all Snake. MGS4 Coming June 12th. For some reason i read the topic name as "choose your bot sex", anyway.
I'd go with Zelda, Pokémon or Final Fantasy. I can't really pick one between them, they would all make fantastic box sets -------------------- All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Broccoli to die. |

Are we talking about complete box sets, b/c those would be ridiculously expensive for some of these series that have tons of games in them. For Zelda fans, there already is a partial box set for Gamecube that includes the original, LTTP, OOT, and MM on one disk. It was a promotional offer with limited availability, but I imagine you can find it online.

Quote Fallout has already been done. Sweet. Then I guess I would have to say a Suikoden box set would be awesome. I'm looking at paying over $100 for Suikoden II alone |

I imagine a compilation of all the Final Fantasy games produced for the first Playstation would be interesting to see, especially if they were all reproduced in PS1 format. Imagine what that would do to FFVII's price.

Now a Pokemon box set is an amazing concept. It would have to be done very tactfully though, as it is much of the same game over and over. The Idea of a newer age Yellow version is intriguing tho, as the happiness concept was originated from Pikachu's responses. So many changes have been seen that it would actually be interesting to see the beginning come around to the end again, FR and LG did a very tactful job of it, and perhaps the GBA generation is not obsolete enough to make it worthwhile yet, but I know that the lifespan on GB cartridge batteries are maxing out after 10 years...
Not to mention that this is the 10th anniversary of Pokemon! 98 - 08 baby! What would be the extreme is if the Wii VC could support GB - GBA emulation, as that would complete out everything available. Port it as a VC set, and viola! Lots of money on old games that will last forever! -------------------- If internal struggles were as enjoyable and glamorous as the self conflicted wars within video game characters, we would all be statues, reveling in perpetual self war. -Me Play me on Rock Band 2, GH-WT, or any other Xbox GH! a complete final fantasy ( 1-10 at least ) would be nice if it were done CORRECTLY!
by correctly i mean remaking all of them with up to par 3d graphics. im kinda mixed on wether or not i would want them to do that though. having all of the ff games in 3d would be nice if they used the same engine for them all and didnt really change the mechanics or setup of them. also, no bonus features. keep THAT original. or at least make it an option to play original or a version with bonus stuff. hell, with the size of dvds and bluray discs, they could fit multiple versions of one game, on a single disc. so the choice would be up to you. would be nice, but i dont see it EVER happening. -------------------- "Life: The deepest cut that wilt not heal. Maybe combine the stories. You play as the same person through the different generations of the game. -------------------- |

It's actually 12 years since red and blue were released (in Japan that is). The rest of us got the games in '98

I was looking at the game and I actually have the same team I first played with. I've never started a new game on it. I guess that's because I played it for a couple of years and then got Silver and I never started a new game. So for me it'll be the 10th Anniversary of my first Pokemon team. -------------------- |

I have to giggle at Pokemon's inclusion as a possibility.
I'd take a Final Fantasy box set if it included remakes and/or international versions. Otherwise, well... I sorta already own all the games. Some in multiple formats. Unfortunately, that's also true for the Suikoden series. And the Zelda series. I didn't like any of the Breath of Fire games, and I've never been into most of the other series. What I'd really like is a Fatal Frame box set for PS2/3 or Wii, preferably with the director's cuts version of the games, which I never got to play in the first place. I'd also jump all over a Growlanser set. Most of the games in that series never made it to English, but the ones that did are fabulous. Growlanser II has the absolute best battle system of any RPG I've ever played. -------------------- Veni, vidi, dormivi. |

Considering Pokemon's 10th Anniversary was in 2006, I'd say they might be a little late on that front. The only recent Pokemon announcement has been for Platinum. Anything else you may have heard is just a made up rumour.

I think it's pointless to have a Final Fantasy boxset. There are already so many versions of the FF titles. I want to buy something I've never touched before, like Suikoden.
