Zed doesn't neccessary have to answer this, but I want to play a challenging game with having joy of using espers, and equipments. I've searched gameshark codes (for a long time actually) to look for cheats that makes the game harder, but i could not find any (they only have cheats that makes the game easier). I do, however, have one strategy, to lower everyone's speed greatly, but I do not know if I should stablize it (since, once you use cheat codes to change ur stats, that stats does not increase by levels, except HP and MP). Or if everyone had same original speed (I doubt it).
I was also thinking about if I can get some hacks which I can edit monsters... Mainly, I'm just trying to make FF3 game long (not very hard, just a little harder). I'm open for ur precious suggestions ![]() PS. Can you possibly tell me about how much HP/MP i would be getting if i changed HP with gamegene? -------------------- I will be there... |

Don't always get the best items - weapons - armor.
Use a gameshark to only give you 1 ap(it was ap rithgt?) per battle. Limit how many potions/ethers you carry. -------------------- "My impersonation of an ordinary person was flawless." - Neal "Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened." - Dr. Seuss |

You take the code that gives you 999 ap(or whatever it is) and change the last four digits to 0001. Easy as that.

Are you sure it's the last four digits? I thought that value was controlled by the last two digits of the code. But, wait, oh yeah. I don't know what I'm talking about, more than likely. I had a hell of a time making new codes for the SNES gameshark, and most of them only did things like make the whole damn thing freeze up. So kudos to you for knowing what to do, if, in fact, that is what you do. ![]() -------------------- Veni, vidi, dormivi. |

You're probably right, I was just going by what I have done in the past. The last four seemed to work, never really though about it but you are probably right. I think the last two digits are quantifier digits.

I think FF3usME will allow you to make changes to HP/MP gains and see how it will affect the raises overall. Â You could also just use my HP/MP guide.
As for what I think would be more challenging, custom monsters and new enemy spells, perhaps new "special" status effects (ala Charm and Phantasm) and spells for weapons that can only be accessed by enemies (i.e. using Ragnarok to cast Flare as an Item spell can only be done by enemies, players use Flare at random by fighting with it). Â That's it. Â I am very much opposed to changing what the player can do, so options are limited for me personally. -------------------- |

The HP/MP guide includes all original level up values, for both FF3us and FF6j (and assuming nothing was changed, FF6 PS as well). It also includes the total of the values, so if you're changing HP/MP, you could use it to help calculate the new total, but that's the hard way.
Get FF3usME here, and see for yourself. It's not hard to figure out. -------------------- |

and maybe for more fun, try not to use the same characters you've been using.
(like trying out different parties and see how well they can really do) |

Quote (Master ZED @ 30th August 2003 17:35) Get FF3usME here, and see for yourself. Â It's not hard to figure out. there are several examples of good and bad uses of this program for custom monsters & such.
