Crisis Core is all I have right now and I think it's worth it. Especially if you get the neat little Shinra case lol. The only complaint I have about the game is the random leveling system, but it's still worth it if you're a big enough fan of FF VII (like I am)

Oooh I have just been playing Dawn of Sorrow on DS and picked up the 2 Disgaea games on ps2 recently so i will deffintely add those titles.

I have never played a mega man game before, would you reccomend Maverick Hunter X as a good place to start or should i play a different game of the mega man series to start?

Well, Afternoon of Darkness is just an improved port of Hour of Darkness, keep in mind. Dracula X Chronicles is a LOT more oldschool than the recent GBA and DS games, but you can also unlock Symphony of the Night in one of the swamp stages, and SOTN is the best Castlevania game of them all.

And yes, Maverick Hunter X is an okay place to start. It's a remake of Mega Man X, with improved visuals, reworked stages, and the ability to play as a second character. It's a pretty good starting point for a newcomer to the series, but the best "starter packs" for a Mega Man newb are Anniversary Collection and X Collection, which you can find on PS2 or Gamecube.

in addition to maverick hunter X and castlevania, check out armored core formula front, wild arms XF ( hex grid tactical RPG FTW! ) and of course Patapon!

I can't stress enough how much I enjoy the Monster Hunter series, especially Monster Hunter Freedom 2. Try it single player, or better yet, get a friend or two to join you (as long as they can nab a copy, too). The game never loses its challenge. since there's no levelling. It all comes down to skill, which weapons and items you brought, and to a lesser degree, how much you've upgraded your gear.
