Any opinions as to the best place for AP in WoR?
I'm currently levelling up outside Doma, which is good because I keep getting Imp's Armours out of it. Does anyone know any areas which are better for Exp, Magic Points (and dropped items)? |

The desert outside of Maranda is the best place. The Cactuars give 10 AP a pop, however you need something to hit them as he has crazy evade. Atma Weapon with Sniper Sight, anyone with the Offering, Tools, Blitzes, SwrdTech.
The Hoovers there are no slouches with 5 AP. Have everyone with something protecting against wind damage and throw Ice spells or use the Scimitar against them. Thunder Shields and Force Shields are the best bets against Wind. -------------------- Really Random Quote of the Day: "Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war." - Richard M. The Fanatics/Cult Tower is also a great place for AP, as you steadily get a healthy amount after most fights.

The dinosaur forest is southeast of Narshe (I believe) and is easy to identify because of it's T-Rex head-shaped tree outline. It's also full of dinosaurs (Brachosaurs and T-Rexes) that give the most amount of Exp in the game.
I don't think they give you the best items or amount of magic points, so I suggest starting at the desert near Maranda, and when you have enough magic points, head to the forest. -------------------- |

Yeah, it's great for just regular experience too. They don't give any money though, and Imp equipment isn't worth anything. If you just want AP, go to Maranda's desert. But to level up, go to the Jurassic Forest. Watch out for the Brachiosaur though. It's probably the toughest enemy in the game. -------------------- |

go to the dinosaur head forrest. the southern section has t-rex that either come alone or in pairs: the northern part has another type of dinosaur (brachiosaur) which is considerably stronger, but gives more EXp. You'd think it wouldn't work that way, but when i stayed in the southern half, for a period of many hours, i never faught a brachiosaur.
As said, they don't give too much gil, but who needs gil late in the game? also, they don't give as much AP, but its harder to get EXP than AP, so if you just train in the dino head you should be fine. -------------------- Currently Playing : Final Fantasy V Most Recently Beat : Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Favorite Game : Final Fantasy X The newest CoNcast is up! Really, when I'm there they show up all the time. Maybe I'm just unlucky. I'm never ready to fight them. T-Rex's aren't that hard. You're right about the gil, but they give enough AP, so I'd definitely go for Dinosaur Forest. Just going for a lot of AP isn't worth it. -------------------- |

Well, if you want to learn magic, go fight cactuars. If you want to gain levels and gain specific Esper bonuses, without worrying about gaining levels, then fight in the dinosaur forest. That's all you need to know, really.

I like the Veldt because you don't gain experience there. That way, you can level up with the stat bonuses you choose, instead of the one you happen to be equipped with because your mind's focused on learning magic.

What he was talking about was, by using the Veldt to learn magic, you can use espers solely for stats when you're in a place where you can gain experience. Also, Cactuars don't give experience. -------------------- "The Lord Bob Bree is my shepherd, I shall not want; He makes me post in Scenario topics. He leads me beside GameFOX; He restores my karma. Cactuar may not give any regular exp., but he does give 10 AP per battle.

Ur best bet would be to just have one character in ur party, save often, go to the forest and raise ur level there. i did that and my characters are all maxed out.
Next go to the miranda desert and fight the cactuars, and sandworms, if u still arent lvl 99 the sandworms will give u a big boost of exp. -------------------- Kefka's Message of the week: Get off your couch noobs and get my new game Dissidia 012 |

AP - definatly fanatic's tower, especially if you have a berserk ring on 3 chars.
EXP - the Tyro forest north of the veldt 4500 exp for 4 party members after 2 of the T-rex's -------------------- "Do you know what happens to a giant when it's blasted by a fireball?.....Same Thing as everything else!" - Black Mage from 8 bit theater. actually its easier if u fight 2 t-rex with one character cause they give u around 17,000 exp plus a exp share or egg will double that to 34,000, and the braciosaurus gives even more

well if they had put in an item that would have doubled gained AP, then it would have been easier to gain spells
