once you got Omnislash and battled against sephiroth did anyone notice that it was completely cheap at the very end. Don't want to ruin the ending for anybody.

As soon as the battle starts you get your limit break and get to tottally hammer the one winged angel.

Yeah I think that part was just an interactive cinematic really

well, it's not really supposed to be a fight. its more of a cutscene. Cloud has already physically killed Sephiroth, and he is using all his strenght to drive the last of Sephiroth's influence over him out of his mind. The battle doesn't actually take place physically, just mentally. From my understanding anyway.

you dont even have to do anything. I just sat there and he automatically gets all bloody

my mate dies at the end apparently... which is hard because its supposed to be impossible .... lolz

I remember once a long time ago I was told there was a secret ending in which if you dont attack Sephiroth in the final duel he can kill you and the ending displaid is that of meteor hitting the planet and sephiroth standing in the middle of the rush of the lifestream and absorbing it. I tried this myself but i think i left my counter attack materia on because after he hit me for some 1800 dmg i counter attacked with a regular attack and it killed him (he only has 1 HP in that battle so ominslash seems kindof un necessary) i later heard that ending was only in a certain series of japanese versions i dunno if its true

I've never thought to let him hit me. I might have to test that later

sounds interesting i think i will have a look. i think that final fight in which it should be impossible to lose was because holy still wsntstopping meteor, because sephiroth was still around somehow to stop it. he must have lived on in influence until you kill him. i hope that makes sense lol!

It's probably programed that Final Battle Sephiroth's stats are always a lot lower than yours, so he'll never kill you if you just wait it out. I did this once, and from what I remember,

Yeah Cloud automatically counters him, so it wouldn't be possible to die. At least on the PS version

I wonder if there is anyone with the PC version out there willing to try it out for us...

I'd imagine it would yield the same results, but still.

yeah from what i figured the part about a certain series of japanese versions...youd have to import it or find a mod for pc version
