Famitsu information

As far as I can tell, this information must be taken with a grain of salt, given that no writing that this newsposter can read is visible in either screen. Given the translation or further information at the info link, it appears that we will be getting a new attorney game in the Phoenix Wright world, but this time it's through the (third-person!) eyes of Miles Edgeworth, "Perfect Prosecutor." The game appears to be similar to the Phoenix Wright and Apollo Justice series, except you're on the other side of the courtroom. Returning characters thus far are Edgeworth and detective Dick Gumshoe.

As a HUGE fan of the series, I can't begin to write how excited I am to see a game from the prosecution's side. Since Edgeworth captured my heart and became one of my favorite characters in the first few games of the series, I always hoped for a game where we would be able to play as the ruthless prosecutor. It looks like this wish will finally be granted. Though they could very well be a new sort of cutscene, it appears that the action outside of the courtroom will be third person, allowing you to move Edgey around and search for "overlooked" clues.

I can't wait.

Can you hear it breathing?
And hey, put the laptop down for a while
In the night there is something wild
I feel it, it's leaving me

Needs more Von Karma, Perfect Prosecutor.

I don't know, knowing how Edgeworth was before he met Phoenix in court makes me kind of wonder about this. I mean, he was considered a very evil man, who forged evidence and did what it took to get a guilty verdict. What's to say he didn't send innocent men or women to death? What I liked about the Phoenix Wright/Apollo Justice games were that, in the end, the right person got put away. We'll have to see how it goes, I guess.

OMG, so it's not a visual novel anymore? Crap. I only hope that you'll control Edgey with point and click system, because using arrows will be quite senseless.

Possible spoilers: highlight to view
And I hope he gets laid with Franziska at the end :P

This is amazing news, but it also makes me worry - does this mean we'll never see Edgeworth again in an Ace Attorney game?

That's just downright creepy, they're practically brother and sister.

Oh, I had to change my pants when I first read about this. I've been a fan of the series for a while too and Edgeworth is certainly one of my favorite characters to come out of the series. Certainly my favorite of the Prosecutors. I can't wait to see what direction they take the game in, though to be honest I hope the Court Room aspect of the game doesn't change too drastically from the Ace Attorney formula. I wonder if this means the Ace Attorney series is coming to an end? I hope not,, I'm going to want to have both.

Speaking of which, I'm curious when this game will take place. I'm assuming since there are seven years between Trials and Tribulations and Apollo Justice, that it'll be between those two games, I'm curious to see if they include Phoenix at all, Maya or any of the other regulars. Having more Gumshoe around makes me happy.

YAAAAAAAAAAAY

Miles Edgeworth: Ace Prosecutor will clearly be the best thing ever. And from what I can tell, the second Apollo Justice game is in fact in production, so I think wwe'll still have ace attorney games.

Yes, finally a Gyakuten Saiban with my fave character as the protagonist. This series may have some more sequel drive after all biggrin.gif
