I think that the female characters are the most unique.
Which one is your favorite?  I like them all, but I'd have to say I like Celes the most. She's tough, but kind and compassionate. She looks really pretty, too. Not that the others don't! I like Terra, too! And Relm! How about you? |

I choose Celes becasue you got to know her better, don't get me wrong You do have Terra for a long while in the begining but
Possible spoilers: highlight to view After the battle of narshe when she morphed into her esper state and flew to that thug town At that point on your only female charcter for awhile was Celes and she played a big role at other parts such as the opera, or how she and Kefka are connected. |

I like Tara. Her naivety in some areas and her confusion about her place in the world make her very a sympathetic character in my mind.

Mmm...hard to say. They're all awesome. But I'd have to say Celes. She's compassionate like Terra and she can have a bit of an attitude like Relm, and then she's a whole great character by herself. It's really touching to see her relationships with Locke and Cid, and you can really feel her emotional journeys throughout the game. She is very complex and very awesome, and she is my most favorite video game heroine of all time.

I'd say Celes because of the elements of the story involving her, and she is typically one of my favorite characters to use.

Lots of unmarked spoilers in this topic, but I suppose most people have completed the game on this forum. I like Celes because she has access to the most powerful weapons in the game and she has a really interesting background.
Possible spoilers: highlight to view It's simply speculation that Shadow is Relm's father. For me, it's Terra, then Relm, THEN Celes. Terra is a character I could actually relate to. Yeah, she was born with green hair and the ability to use magic... but really, I found her the most realistic in terms of personality, the most believable. She was 'human' without being too good to be true.

Of the three, relm, hands down, i find her skill to be usefull and inventive. Not to mentio the fact that even though she's a little girl, she still kicks butt.

Truth be told, I'm not a huge fan of any of them. It came down to a choice between Celes and Terra, and Terra learns the better spells naturally, which is a big help in Natural Magic "challenges." So yeah, Terra.

I don't like Relm that much.
And between Terra and Celes, I just like Terra's character more. I don't know why. Or maybe I've given a reason several years ago on this board, but I don't remember it. Celes might have that hot green swimsuit, but Terra was just a more awesome character IMO. And she has a more useful in-game ability.
