FFX- Weapon for wakka.

Hi. I'm making a customized weapon for wakka to use until I get his celestial. I'm putting BDL and triple overdrive on it. What should I do for the other slots?

With those two, i'd suggest Evade + Counter / Counterattack and Initiative / First Strike.

Erm... No thanks... I'll have 255 strength and nice luck, so those aren't needed.

First Strike is what I've been considering since the beginning, along with a counter. I can't decide between E&C/Magic/Counterattack. What would be better for the later Arena Bosses and eventually Nemesis?

If you've moved Wakka onto other parts of the Sphere Grid and gotten lots of Strength Spheres and Luck Spheres/Fortune Spheres, it's certainly possible. I am looking to make a weapon for Wakka anyways since I hate Blitzball. dry.gif

i would definately say don't add strength. go for the evade and counter and magic counter for sure. the ability to attack the enemy after every time they attack you is unbelievably helpful.

as for first strike, i'd say make sure one of your characters has it, but no more. really, once your levels are high, which im sure they will be, there is only one creature that can actually get a turn in before you: malboro. so, add first strike to one character's weapon just in case you run across a malboro. that way you can get out without being dominated.

if you hate blitzball, you should look into the almighty break damage limit. course, it'll take you forever just to come up with the money to do so, even with rikku's gilionaire.

Ah, the irrational hatred of Blitzball that bonds us.

I hated that mini-game so much that I never used Wakka once five-digit damage counts were a necessity.

It's too bad that Wakka's Attack Reels is the strongest Overdrive in the game (at least from what I've seen). And that's just in the regular game, not International.

From when the game pits you into a forced Blitzball game that basically forces you to lose to afterwards, I have always hated Blitzball with a passion.
