Which character's theme song is your favorite? biggrin.gif

In case you don't have the Music Player:

Terra's Theme is the Overworld music in WoB. (I think it should've been what the Music Player calls "Awakening.")

Locke's Theme is the song that plays while you control him and the moogles in the mines when you have to protect Terra.

Edgar's and Sabin's theme is the music to Figaro Castle.

Shadow's theme is the song that plays when you first meet him, in the pub in South Figaro and at the Cabin on the Veldt, at the beginning of Sabin's story. (Although it's not really on the Veldt.)

Celes's theme is the song that plays when she and Locke have that scene in Albrook at night, where she's standing on the bridge over the river.

Cyan's theme is the song for Doma Castle.

Gau's theme is the song that plays when you first meet him, when he finds Sabin and Cyan washed up on the Veldt.

Setzer's theme is the music inside the Blackjack.

Mog's theme is the music to the Moogle's Cave in the Narshe mines.

Strago's theme is the song to Thamasa.

Relm's theme plays when you first meet her.

Umaro's theme plays when you meet him, I believe.

And Gogo's theme is the music inside the Zone Eater.

There are other times when some of the themes play. But some, like Celes, are only heard once (twice, if you do a certain thing in the World of Ruin).

So, which is your favorite? Sorry I couldn't make this a poll, there were too many choices, I think. smile.gif

I like Cyans and Gogo's the most. Shadow's is pretty cool too, and I also like Locke's one very much.

I really like locke's theme. It fits his heroic personality.

It's really hard to choose. There are so many good ones and so many reasons to like them.

My favorite may be Rachel's theme. Its melody plays off of Locke's theme perfectly, almost like a slower version of his theme but it has subtle differences. It's kinda like Locke's secret theme that plays in his heart.

Gogo, Cyan, Terra, and Kefka. Gogo's and Kefka's are just kinda amusing, Cyans theme because it reminds me of his sad past, and Terra's theme, because its one of those songs that really hits that feeling of nostalgia.

I haven't posted in a really long time!!!
Anyway, I think all themes are my favorites since each song is played in the right place at the right time! That's one of the things that makes the game so great!
For example:
When Cyan is in Doma Castle, his theme music has you going to battle with a chill up ur spine biggrin.gif
Or when you meet Umaro and discover that his theme song shows how his heart is so kind.
The twin brothers' song... no comment.
And all others are special, each in their own way!

Yeah, those are really good points! happy.gif

I kinda wish Sabin had his own theme. I dunno, the Figaro Castle theme doesn't really fit him. I wish he had a fast-paced, action-y theme song.

I think my favorite would be Gau's...it's so sensitive...and sad. When you first meet Gau, his theme might not make much sense, because he's wild and all that...but when you learn his story, it makes sense, and he seems like a more deep character with emotions. happy.gif

I love the way most of the themes bring out the characters' personalities. Like Strago's is kinda strange and quirky. happy.gif

I thought Sabin does have his own theme song. It's only used twice in the game: once in the first visit to Figaro castle (talk to the Matron in the west tower when Terra is alone; this is required to progress) and the other time is during another flashback (take both Edgar and Sabin to the castle anytime after the Narshe snowfield battle).

It does appear that the BGM playing during each character's naming screen is their theme with the sole exception of Celes.

My favorites are Mog's and Shadow's though all are well placed and suitable to the characters.

FF VI has a lot of excellent music, but my two favorite character themes are Cyan's and Celes's.

favorite character theme would have to be mog, unless villans are counted too in which kefka would take #1 and ghestal would be a close second, then mog of course;)

If you consider Dancing Mad to be Kefka's theme, or part of it, than I think his theme is one of the best. It is part of the final battle, and it's one of the best songs in the game.

Yeah, the ending credit arrangement of Shadow's theme is sweet.

I think that the ending credits have the best music in the whole game. Especially the characters' themes that play during it.

I'm pretty sure that song that plays during their flashbacks is "Coin of Fate," kinda another Edgar and Sabin song.

Cyan's brings back memories. Mainly because of Sabin's scenario is my favorite early part of the game. I love the battle scene when Cyan battles the Commander. I think the music plays during that scene.

Dancing Mad is my favorite final boss music bar none. If it counts as Kefka's theme, then it is also my favorite character music. Otherwise it's Celes.

Nobuo Umatsu really out did himself with the soundtrack for VI. There are so many beautifl peices of music it's impossible for me to pick just one. also, I don't get why some people think Kefka's theme is Dancing Mad @.@ The same thing happened in VII where most thought One Wing Angel was Sephiroth's theme. Kefka's theme is the dodgey music Harry Potter ripped off~ Do do do do, di di di di do, do de do do, do do di biggrin.gif Holy heck, I remembered that ^^! *laughs*

I love Edgar and Sabin's theme. It's bold and proud, it describes the brothers well. Also, the Coin Song. their theme but calm and slowed down, it's really quite pretty smile.gif

Terra's theme is another favourrite of mine. It's beautiful. Posotive and up-beat. Sorta says "Let's go!" to me. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=PV3oFFOSgI8 <-- That isn't spam or anything of the like, just a really beautiful rendation of Terra's theme I think probably made me fall in love with it. Damn I wish I could play piano that well.

Oh lordie! Shadow's theme totally rules when it comes to catchey tunes. It's so catchey and awesome infact, that myself and my older brother made a cover of it smile.gif He played electric guitar and I whistled and played drums happy.gif It turened out really cool, I'm tempted to put it on Youtube. bleck, back to the theme. I find it all mysterious and, to some extents, exciting. It's like what ya get on old western films lol.

Gogo's tune also rocked XD Lol, it was kinda funny n_n

Gau's theme. It's often confused with the music on the Veldt, but it's them music you hear when
Possible spoilers: highlight to view
Sabin trys to help him out with his Dad, bt it all goes, excuse my french, tits up
It's so pretty and sad, I cried alot durring that scene n_n'

I think that's about it for music. Oh, Celes' theme was pretty, but not *quite* a favourite. Yeah, that's all from me happy.gif Lol
