Stuck in Underwater Reactor

Im having trouble fighting the carry armor in the reactor, i manage to inflict heavy damage with my bahamuts and limits but i keep losing as the enemy picks me up and i cant fight back, its happened 3 times to me now. I cant use barrier as i dont have it for some reason. Please help me with this one its causing me a headache.

If you have Regen or Haste use them. Hit with Lightning attacks aswell. If you don't have Big Guard or Barriers then stick your characters in the backrow and equip one with Long Range Materia (if you have it). And have the other two use only your best summons and then Bolt 2/3 while keeping Regen/Haste and being ready to recast when they run out.
When it graps your charactor, (which yes, is bloody annoying) kill the charactor while attacking the arm that's holding it then revive (BUT ONLY WHEN YOU THINK YOU CAN GET THEM BACK UP TO HEALTH BEFORE CARRY ARMOUR KNOCKS THEM BACK OUT - because you'll be wasting MP/Phoenix Down. Quote its happened 3 times to me now Just keep trying and you should do it. I've been on Demons Gate on my Speed Run for 3 days now and I must've had 20+ game overs but I'll do it eventually (or I may just die of frustration). |

Thanks, i finally defated it after a bit of levelling up, i found attacking the arms first solved my problem of being picked up
