Its quite simple. And for two and three, it still counts if you played FF 3 on the DS, and/or FF2 on the Playstation happy.gif .

I played FF III on an NES emulator several years ago, and it's certainly better than either of its two predecessors.

FF2, with FF3 coming as a close second.
Two has a system that I love, a pretty good storyline and great music.

Same here, except it wasn't several years ago.

I don't remember exactly when I played it, but it was definitely in high school. So... probably 2002-2003ish.

Final Fantasy III. Like the first one, but with a much better developed story, and a very interesting interchangable job system. II is the worst of the NES, but it's not the worst Final Fantasy.

I'm going to have to say FF I, as I've never played FF III, and I really never liked the level system of FF II.

I cant choose between FF1 or FF3

FF1 was more open to full blown exploration, while FFIII has more developed plot but is more linear.

FF1s graphics are just delightful to me, however FF3s are more well developed

So I consider it a dead tie.

I'll have to go with the original and III in a close second. By far the worst Final Fantasy I've played has to be X-2.

I love the original. I like that I can explore as much as want and don't get stopped for storylines. Not that I don't like storylines, but I love to explore and fight to my heart's content

while 3 is one of the best games in the series, 1 gets my vote because it's still my favorite of the Final Fantasy games

II definitely suffers from some problems, besides the wacky leveling system. The leveling system is the least enjoyable for me and it's the best story-wise of the NES Final Fantasies. Final Fantasy III definitely lacks story-wise, but has the best battle system of the three, introducing the real job system. I am seriously in love with the DS version of Final Fantasy III. As much as I love Final Fantasy I, the encounter rate is just too annoying for me and that's really the only problem I have with it.

Playing FF II again, it is freakin' awesome. It has a kinda overly-done "Dark Empire" kinda story *cough* Star Wars, Suikoden, etc. *cough*. The leveling system is bizarre, but easy enough to get used to
