I hav completeed ff6 many times. But recently I started again and hav reached the magitek factory. After finishin that area I recieved the Bismark esper.

I am going to get Golem becasue using those 2 espers I will get +2 vigor and +2 stamina.

I will LV up edgar to 99 and then get onto the world of ruin but wot I need to know is. Will Celes be on LV 99 and all her stats raised like edgars?

That's a really good question.  Master ZED would know better than I would, but I'm going to give it a guess...

I think that Celes will start at an average of some of the other characters' levels.  I don't think she'll start at 99, but I'm pretty sure she'll start higher than you'll leave her at in the WoB.

First of all, Stamina +2 = bad idea.  The uses for Stamina are too limited to make it worthwhile, you're better off getting Zoneseek and raising Mag.Pwr, or waiting for Odin to get the ever-useful Speed +1.

Second, level averaging wouldn't carry Celes to 99 just because Edgar is that high.  Celes will be affected by everyone's levels, while those recruited in the WOR will only be affected by your current team's levels.

Third, any stat besides HP/MP needs Esper bonuses for any permanent boosts.  Going through Level averaging with an Esper equipped or just boosting one person expecting stats to somehow be affected won't work.  You must gain the levels in combat to raise other stats.

Finally, HP/MP will be harder to perfect in the WOB.  Optimally, you should only spend six levels on HP/MP bonuses (see my HP/MP doc), but it will take a bit more in the WOB because all you'll have are HP/MP + 10% bonuses, unable to even use Terrato and Fenrir.

So if you just want Edgar powered up, and don't care about Edgar's Speed, HP/MP, or the rest of the team's loss of stat-boosting opportunities as a result of this venture, then go ahead.  But Stamina is a bad idea either way since all you're getting is a little raise in blocking only certain instant-death type attacks, of which three of those will never even touch your party anyway as they are Espers, and raising the power of Regen, Seizure, Tintinabar, and Poison.  Regen and Seizure never get very high (Seizure is never good due to a glitch unfortunately), Tintinabar isn't exactly going to do better than a Cure spell or two outside of battle, especially since Osmose can take care of lost MP next combat, and Edgar would need Rage status to even hope to absorb Poison so you don't need to boost its effects with Stamina, unless you're weird and fight Reach Frogs all the time in prolonged battles for no reason.

Also, according to Terii senshi's statistical algorithms FAQ for the game, it does you no good to have your vigor to be more than 128. Hmm... Master ZED, I notice your name is mentioned in there.

Actually, I'm wondering how to account for stat bonuses when leveling up (specifically HP/MP bonuses).

In my experience, you should use HP up espers around level 70, and MP up espers around lv 48. Those are the levels with the highest HP/MP gain, so you can capitalize on the +50% bonuses.
