Hi there
I'm having trouble getting the Final Attack materia (beating emerald without this one is tricky). I'm on disc 3, whith w-summon and omnislash (though these are still in the prizes list for some reason). I have beaten the ultima weapon (and ruby as well). But still, I can't do the special fights. Need I learn "omnislash" before I can get it or is there any other reason ?

Edit : I won a few more battles but got stuck at 65'000 BP, and when I tried to get another w-summon or omnislash they told me "we don't have this prize anymore)

CoN's good old guide

As it says in above link, you need to have omni slash, w-summon, and ultima weapon. the w-summon and omni slash prizes will remain listed even though you have already won them. Hope that helps, Anything else you need will be in the link.

Thanx a lot for not reading my question... I read everything in the link about 5 times and I searched on other forums too but I still can't find out what happens... maybe it's linked to the (crappy) french translation I'm playing with, but I saw french players who got it

Sorry for not being a native english-speaker, i'll do my best this time.
So, I've done everything that is said in the guide (won omnislash and w-summon, got ultima weapon), but when I talk to the girl in battle square, she keeps on sending me to the regular battles. Therefore, I wonder if there is something else that is not in the guide, such as a level requirement or whatever.
By the way, unlike what's told in the guide, the champion belt is still in my prize list at 16'000 in disc 3.

Well as long as you're playing with cloud and you have done what you say you have... i don't know what else you could do. sorry.

As long as you have used the Omnislash item you bought (to teach Cloud the Omnislash limit break), you have the W-Summon materia equipped on Cloud, and he is equipped with the Ultima Weapon, then it should work.

I have not used omnislash, since I still don't have his level 3 limits. I'll get them and then let you know if it solved the problem.

I used the 7777 hax to beat the weapons.

i.e. you have lets say HP plus and luckplus on Nanaki (2 materia).
You start the fight with 9999HP and then Emerald uses Airetam storm (materia spelled backwards) which deals 1111 damage for every materia you have equipped which brings you to 7777 health.
This sparks off lucky 7's which deals 7777, 77 times. while not enough to kill the beast initially it will make it use Airtam storm a lot more often. Simply heal and repeat with each character ,since only 1 character will go into lucky 7's at a time!

I did it this way by accident when my RedXIII suddenly went Lucky 7's out of the blue and I thought my game was broken

i myself have had a similar prb here in the past. no matter what i did i couldnt get to the special battle round. If the game thinks you have had the materia previously it wnt let you participate this ocured for me as a sideffect of using code hacks and/or explodercartridge. to solve the problem i restarted without the cartridge. hope this helps
