Aaaah.. the 90's... One of the most comforting years of my life...
I've seen a bunch of movies older and younger than me, but some of the ones I really enjoyed back then and still do now are movies like The Lion King, Toy Story, Tarzan, *cough*Cinderella*cough*, Batman (1989), Batman Returns, Batman Forever, Beetlejuice, Mr. Mom, and some other shit I forgot to add.. |

My favorite movie then and my favorite movie now are the same.
The Princess Bride. A true classic (Though, IMHO, the book is better). |

Space Jam. I watched that compulsively. Even then I knew that anything with Bill Murray ("the ghostbusters man") had to be good. For that matter, Ghostbusters one and two on video were on many an evening. There was a Thundercats film I idolised as well, can't remember the name.
What's funny is that my little brothers ended up watching all the same films I used to thirteen years ago. -------------------- Scepticism, that dry rot of the intellect, had not left one entire idea in his mind. Me on the Starcraft. |

Oh, yeah, how could I have forgotten about The Ghost Busters? I love it, even now, for the humor and all. And Space Jam was good, but not one of the best in my opinion.

An American Tail
Fievel Goes West (a sequel to the prior, though very, very different) Alladin The Return of Jafar. The Little Mermaid Pinocchio The Rescuers, I think... Alice in Wonderland The Lion King Beauty and the Beast. Mickey and the Beanstalk, if it counts The Reluctant Dragon Pete's Dragon Brer Rabbit Oliver Twist Dumbo Who Framed Roger Rabbit Ducktails: The Movie Treasure of the Lost Lamp Cinderella Snow White and the Seven Dwarves In terms of nonanimated movies, I liked: Batman, the Movie. My absolute favorite to this day, mostly due to the absolutely wonderful Joker. The Never Ending Story Spaceballs Star Wars Trilogy Gremlins Beetle Juice The Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, even though I only saw parts, it was simply hilarious. Something about a maneater plant that talked, that I also only saw bits and pieces of... And I also have fond memories of Bill and Ted, though I don't remember any specific titles. This isn't quite everything in the book however. Toy Story, Pokemon The First Movie and Alladin and the King of Thieves all failed to grab me. I also always disliked the Power Rangers in some way or another, so of course I hated their movie... Can't say I was too, too picky though. I can't really remember many more off the top of my head... which probably means they aren't worth mentioning. More recently, I stopped watching movies altogether. Well, except when badgered, which is rarely. Everything... seems... lame... By the way Shotgun, I too saw the Great Mouse Detective. I do not remember anything about it besides it being awesome however. I should buy that VHS tape at the thrift store if it's still there... I restrained myself because there were so many animated classics that I couldn't take one without taking them all... and I have no room for that! XD Edit Added Ducktails to the list, which I did initially remember but lost in the preliminary editing. XD This post has been edited by Tonepoet on 10th December 2007 02:28 -------------------- |
