Who's up for forming a guild so we can practice fight each other with multiplayer and share tactics making everybody better. I'm really looking forward to the multiplayer aspect of the new game and I want people to play against. Who's with me?

Well not a guild I guess but just a group of people to fight against. I don't want to get the game just for the multiplayer and not have anybody to fight against

I still need to play FFT all the way through. Though, if I end up liking the battle system, I might join the guild as well.
Oh, and FFT has been released in Japan. Let's hope for a speedy US/UK release. -------------------- "Some fight for justice. Some fight for law . . . . . .Cecil, what will you fight for?" ~KluYa |

I've been thinkin about how the pvp battles will work and I can already see there will have to be a ton of rules. First of all I think there should be level capped battles like 30 and under, 60, 99. Secondly if there are glitches in the game such as duping items and the level up down trick, there will have to be a laundry list of limitations on that. I really hope they fix those because it made the game way too easy and will seriously hinder the pvping. Other rules could be only generics with Ramza, no Calculators, or just no Orlandu. Also, this may be extreme but, I hope there is an option on whether or not you could get your broken items back after a fight. For example, you get only one Chaos blade (if no duping) and if it gets broken - its gone, forever. Also you can steal from other players and keep it in this mode. Maybe two different versions of multiplayer play like Blizzard had for Diablo. I'm just talkin out of my ass now,,, anyway I was just thinkin about some rules for the pvp.... your thoughts....

I'm not sure how they're going to do all of that. I'll bet it is a lot simpler than that - and I'm sure they'll think of those problems before it comes out. And if you don't want your Chaos Blade broken, set maintenance as your support ability. A little less power, a little more security.

Not to mention that you can get unlimited Chaos Blades, so it's a moot point anyway.
I think that breaking/stealing should be allowed, but that at the end of the battle everything should be exactly the same as before the battle, so you can't get tons of equipment through stealing or lose rare equips by breakage. Especially since Mighty Sword would make that really easy. And Calcs would be okay, so long as there's no AI Battle feature on PvP. |

Oh? I thought it would be awesome, to be able to join in as two seperate
teams (on two different PSPs) and fight a single AI opponent. I'm even wishing for a co-op mode like this; that would be sWeet! -------------------- Putting the A's in W lm rt: A11smart, Jobclass: Retailer. |

I'm probably picking up a PSP this fall when they release the new one - the most important reasons for it being FFT and Rondo of Blood.

My girlfriend and sister have successfully completed their PSP Fetch
Quest that I asked them to embark on, so that now at level27 I have a whole new weapon to try out! Can anyone believe the game has been pushed back to October!?! Also, EB Games more or less confirmed that, of yet, there is no special bonuses for preorders. I don't have an advanced shipping notice for WalMart yet, but I'd assume we'll carry it; we carry all of the other FFs, for DS, PSP, PS2, and PC. Finally: I built a list of the must-have PSP games and have been pacmanning them like so many power pellets, and I think you can whittle the whole 'library' to maybe a dozen! -------------------- Putting the A's in W lm rt: A11smart, Jobclass: Retailer. |

I'm surprised I haven't added this in to this thread yet, but we've been advertising preorders for the game for at least a month now.

Well I have had a few finacial set backs here lately and combine that with losing my wallet with all my cards and 150 cash last week, I don't know if I'll be able to get the game on the release day. Nevertheless I'll be caught back up and have the game after my next paycheck. This will just give all of you a chance to better prepare for a battle with me haha. All joking aside though I'll be looking for people to play against by the end of October

I finished paying for my preorder today, so I'm guaranteed to get it on Wednesday (or more likely, on Thursday, since that's when I'll be working next). Now, to get myself a PSP...
I seem to remember reading a preview article written by someone who had the opportunity to play the game already. As far as items being broken goes, you can set a number of options before engaging in head to head or cooperative missions. Among them, if memory serves, are the options to turn off character deaths and item breakage. Items can be broken in battle, even if that option is off, and they will be returned to their original state afterwards. |

I forgot what it was like to lose a game! That brings the challenge back! And I get
to orchestrate my master training plan from the beginning on, all over again! Once one starts playing with all-master characters that have been Mimed-Up, it's a surprise to have to think Tactically again after so long! So far the FFTPSP has made it through three staff meetings, two classes, and heavy traffic. That's like a slice of heaven one can summon at will! Who else is playing besides JesusLasVegas and myself? Also: ![]() Awesome! Lots of attention on the best game possible! Or Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops... Anyone else like that game or series??? -------------------- when locke and trogdor collide... BOOOOM! That's me!!! |

It's definitely too bad that FFT on the PSP only supports Ad Hoc multiplayer, rather than actually allowing you to go online and seek out your opponents. Otherwise, I would have been all for this.
