I've got a huge problem !
I really like Cyan, and I've always had him in my team. He was a hero in the WoB, but became a zero in the WoR. Why ? I trained him really good. I got all of his "Swdtechs", and I also got his best weapon "Strato". But he still sucks big time ! How can I make him stronger ?? Have I forgot something ?

A very distinct possibility is that Cyan's equipment has become outdated.  In the WoR, most of your characters will get better weapons, making them more productive on the offensive end in general.  However, Cyan's new weapons are few and far in-between.

If you haven't been to Doma Castle yet to see his dream sequence, I suggest you do so.  After finishing the whole thing, you end up with the Alexandr esper as well as the Aura katana, a fairly powerful blade which will bring Cyan's attacking strength up to par with the rest.

I did get Alexandr, but I never got any Aura Katana .
How do I get it ?

Actually, you can give Cyan a Scimitar, which is stronger than the Strato and can cause instant death.

And of course, one of the Statues in Kefka's Tower gives the Sky Render, Cyan's ultimate weapon.

You are all missing something extemely important about Cyan.  Strato is not his best weapon at all........in Kefkas tower youll have to fight one of the 3 statues..Doom......kill him and win Sky Render....Cyans most badass sword.........and if you like to use the Genji Glove you can win another sky render at the colluseum by betting an Aura Lance.  if you want Cyan to be REALLY beefy, pair the genji glove and offering relics.....on a high enough level, he will deal out over 25000 points of damagesimply by choosing the fight command...by lvl 99 he'll be doing about 80000.......

I rememeber that after Cyan's dream, a sword/katana does appear, but I doubt that is the Aura.  I, too, have not seen it.  I would like to know where it is.

Give him Vanish, an Exp. Egg, and Fire3, put him in a party all by himself, equip an esper on him that gives a Strength+2 bonus at levelup, and go fight on the grassy areas on the small continent that Doma Castle is on.  You'll easily gain a ton of levels, and the strength bonus will power him up.  Use Fire3 on the Tumbleweeds, and attack everything else.  Just stay off the rocks, or you'll fight enemies that can remove his Vanish status much easier (The Tumbleweed is the only one that can do it on the grass, but the spell they use, LifeShaver, comes out very rarely).

Hmm... every single time I play the game, it's the Aura. You should receive it before you have any chance to grab Alexandr. Have you looked through/sorted your items? Also... I notice that if you bet Aura at the Colosseum, you can win Strato. Maybe that's what you did.  

Well, then again, I never expected to see the Aura because the game never said anything like, "You received the 'Aura' ", so I never checked my items after the dream sequence.  And as for the colosseum, I never remeber betting an Aura.

Same for me. A sword appears when Cyan's dream is completed, but I can never get it. I only recieve Alexander and all SwdTech.

I always thought that the game automatically equipped the Aura sword to Cyan, so make sure that hasn't happened.  I might be wrong, though, because I don't even remember a sword appearing, as a couple of you said.

A sword does appear, when the two souls (who should remain nameless, cause of spoilers) combine a sword appears.  Cyan walks up to it and grabs it and then wakes up.  You'll have the aura, but it's in your inventory.

Trust me, I often sound stupid, but I think Cyan is...'the bomb' and I know 'Thou Samurai'

Also if you want to level up, take Neal's advice, it's efficent.  Invisble+Fire 3 (or 2)+Exp. Egg+tumbleweeds=levels and Magic points

sometimes I've usely equiped a Genji Glove and a Merit Award to Relm, so she can equip 2 of the best weapons that she can't normaly equip in the game.
she became my main super attacker with the Genji Glove and the Merit Award.
with fixed dice, some swords, or some other killing weapons can make her a powerhoused character.

Maybe if you do the same for Cyan, then it should do the same for you. (and maybe with the quick Magic)

hmmm, can't you use Bismark/Raiden to raise his attack?
