Dancers and their effects

I was just wondering - is there actually any effect to the various dancers you see around the world? I know the Mysidian dancer turns you into a pig when you talk to her before the Paladin quest, and somewhere (I forgot exactly where) you can pay 10000GIL to see a dancing show, where you can go into the changing rooms and find only an empty chest.
But is there actually any USE to these ladies? |

Ah well. I'm pretty much guessing that the dencers don't have an effect and are just THERE.
